Underworld 4 is go, and even has a release date (Jan 21st, 2011). Oh yeah, and it'll be in 3D for some reason.
Allegedly there'll be a 5 and 6 as well, these next three all being the rest of Selene's story (tho no word on whether Beckinsale is involved or not).

It'll be a bit crap if Beckinsale decides not to do it. I hate it when lead characters change. Be interesting to see where they take this one. All the vampire elders are dead so what now....

Wish they'd stop messing about with the 3d stuff. I've yet to see one that looks good, and those coloured spectiles are annoying.
And they always spoil it by overdoing the "go towards the camera" bits in such films, making it feel forced and silly.
I think the story should be about the vampire/lycan war, up to where lucian fakes his death.
That would fill in the gap between film 3 and film 1.

Funny you should say about the coloured specks! I was waiting in line to Harry Potter and was watching them all come out of Ice Age 3 3D, i was expecting them to be wearing those crap cardboard glasses with the red and green panels but now they just just like a pair of Austin Powers specs. They didn't even have the coloured lenses.

The colored lenses are so 80s, people. Where have you been?

when I picked up Journey to the centre of the earth 3D, that came with the coloured lenses, so I assmued that's still what they use in the cinemas.

Unfortunately, home systems can't use the same set up so yeah, we're stuck with the colored lenses for now. The digital 3D in theaters now rocks. Nice, clear picture and the glasses are more like sunglasses and not those gawdawful paperboard things that feel like they're going to slice your ears off.

I don't think i've ever seen a 3d movie. I think Comic Relief did something 3d years ago and you got coloured lenses for that.

In modern cinemas now they use a whole new 3D system. I agree that I haven't seen anything around worth watching in 3D yet. I will, however, go and see The Final Destination in 3D in a couple of weeks. Love those crazy movies. Apart from that it will be James Cameron's Avatar in December. Oh, good news about the Underworld movies. The last one did fine at the boxoffice and they don't cost much. I wouldn't be surprised to see Beckinale back seeing as how her career isn't exactly in the stratosphere. Direct to DVD I think was her last effort called Whiteout.

That Avatar film looks pretty good, watch a trailer for it. Kept thinking parts of it were Live action (though I'm told it's all CGI - though the one telling me could have made that up).

No, Avatar isn't all CGI. Just most of it.

Good to know it's not all CGI, and it's not just me being unable to see the difference between reality and virtual.
