Eherm.
Well.
There are indeed werewolves in this, but they are once again regular wolves. And once again they're not the main focus.
Hollywood needs to take it's cues from Television - wholly werewolf shows are starting to surface again, let's have some wholly werewolf movies, huh?
I probably will go and see it, but I fear I'm not going to like it much. The main story of the movie seems fairly uninteresting and done-to-death.
But then, that's just me.

I think i'll just catch it on Sky. Looks a bit too Twilight for me?
Happy to be proven wrong though.

The biggest plus for me with this film, is that werewolves beat up vampires.
Other than that the werewolves don't really have a lot to do with the plot of the film.

I sat through it. It's an over long, hugely dull, cliche ridden snore-fest. Only good things about it: Lily Collins is very easy on the eyes and some of the FX are ok. It's not as bad as Twilight though. Unlike Twilight I didn't end up hating the main character after about ten minutes. Nor is it bogged down by Meyer's worrisome messages to young girls about the nature of love and sex. Mostly it is just plain boring. Amazingly it made hardly any money at the cinema yet they are pressing ahead with a sequel. Groan.

The critics quoted at the Rotten Tomatoes site all vilified it with one exception. But that review starts out "If you can overlook the lack of originality..." www.rottentomatoes.com/m/the_mortal_instruments_city_of_bones/Between that and darkwolf's comments I do not think I will bother even when it comes to cable.
