Greetings, everyone. We were pretty excited to see our Kickstarter project ( www.endoftheroadmovie.org ) on the front page today and wanted to tell you a little about it. We're close to halfway funded with only 11 days to go, so we're trying to get the word out to as many people as possible.
Our project is intended to fund a short werewolf film called END OF THE ROAD. Basic plot is as follows: Dana (small town waitress) offers a warm meal to an enigmatic drifter in a rundown diner at the edge of town. Little does she know she’s let a vicious and calculative werewolf loose on the diner’s colorful population, slashing everyone to ribbons and saving Dana for last unless she can find the strength to escape.
We hope to use this project to show potential investors our dedication and love of the Werewolf genre so we can reach our ultimate goal of shooting a full length werewolf film called Through the Woods (which was recently a finalist in LA's SHRIEKFEST script competition). Both films will feature an innovative take on the scary smart creature, using mostly practical effects and actors, as opposed to a straight up CGI wolf. Here's some concept art:
And here's our poster:
If you head over to our kickstarter page you'll see a video explaining what we want to do with this project and also get a taste of some good old fashioned werewolf terror at the end. We hope you'll give our project a look and throw us a few bucks if you're so inclined. We've got some excellent rewards available for all the donation levels.
Thanks for reading and we hope you get to see our project on your screen in the near future.
