I have been watching this show on Netflix, and I have really enjoyed it, so thought I'd suggest it to the rest of you.
The basic premise:
This is a documentary/experiment/Reality TV
A group of 10 volunteers are placed in a 'post apocalypse' setting where they have to survive with what they can find/scrounge.
Season 1 was set in part of LA, where the 'colonist' were 1st given a sleepless night, than had to walk 5 miles down the wet concreate river thingy (I know it's got a proper name, just cannot think what it is) to a warehouse that will be their home for the next 10 weeks. They have to deal with raiders, traders, food, water, power, etc etc. - one fellow seems to be trying to become a wolfman by the amount his hair grows!
Season 2 Is set in part of New Orleans, in a part of the ruined city (several blocks of houses). In this season it's an outbreak of disease that has wiped out most of civilisation. And again they have to deal with hostile raiders, food shortage, water, power, etc etc.
There was going to be a season 3 but due to an accident whilst filming, the show was put on perminant hold.
- after typing all this, I've the strongest feeling I've already done this before...

This is the Los Angeles Storm Drain System. Los Angeles is technically in a desert, which means that it never rains, but sometimes it RAINS! These drains and the storm sewers that feed them featured in Them and in Terminator 2. The fact that Los Angeles is located in a desert and must import water is a plot element in Chinatown.
