You'll have to let us know what its like Keywolf. I'll give the fearnet link a miss since it contains spoilers. Shame.

WOW. I really enjoyed this one.... in fact it might just sneak into my top 10 werewolf films!
A great mix of mature, interesting characters, a bit of dark comedy, a few lashings of gore, and a decent story. Hard to talk about the beast without getting mildly spoilery, but if you want details highlight below:
The werewolf/werewolves (there's more than one) are mostly a great design, though won't be to everyone's taste. They're very reminiscent of the Howling- complete with, if anything, even bigger ears. They stand on two legs and are covered with fur. The main difference is the face- the muzzle is much shorter, but with a cool Fright Night vampire / Gremlins sort of look that makes them look very faintly bat like. For the most part the costume looks great, only let down slightly when seen in full view- a slight case of the shaggy ape-man about the bodysuit. Stilts on the feet would have worked wonders but alas. Only a couple of shots like this though; personally I REALLY liked the look overall.
Which brings me to the best part.... the transformation scene. There's just one, and it's pretty quick, but holy hell if it isn't one of the best I've seen. Probably in the top 5 ever. Virtually ALL practical FX throughout. Hardly a glimpse of CGI in the whole film from what I could tell.
8/10 from me! Possibly my favourite movie of the year so far.

That does sound promising Keywolf. Fingers crossed for a decent release soon.

Saw it over the weekend. Good little flick. A horror/werewolf movie that is actually about something - the isolation and ravages of old age amongst other things. Nick Damici is great in the lead role of Ambrose, the gruff no nonsense blind Vietnam vet. Plus you get the great Tom Noonan as a priest! Personally I didn't much like the werewolf design as it suffered from the man in suit/hairy ape thing and the faces looked nothing like wolves. But that's only a minor gripe about what is an otherwise good, solid, serious monster movie.

The Region 2 DVD is out April 20th. Just a heads up- as is apparently traditional with werewolf movies these days, it's getting a title change- here in the UK it'll be going under the (pretty generic) name 'Night of the Wolf'.
Looks like in the US it's going to be called Night of the Lone Wolf, which suggests that whoever is distributing this film hasn't actually seen it.

Nick Damici was great in Stakeland, Dark Was the Night and Mulberry Street.
Don't know how this one slipped past me but I'll check it out this month.

Damici is right on the money again. The rest of the movie? Not so much ... but still watchable and better than altogether too many other werewolf films.

I've often said that if you're going to be a fan of werewolf movies, you better be a fan of bad movies because there just aren't many really good ones. I really liked this one. Great cast all around, including some faces I hadn't seen in a while. And it's streaming for Amazon Prime people www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PCO7DWM?camp=1789&creativeASIN=B00PCO7DWM&ie=UTF8&linkCode=xm2&tag=justwatch09-20

Once again Damici knocked it out of the park.
The Creature efx were a bit um, Kurtzman has done better work. Ethan Embry and Tom Noonan were great as Will and Father Rodger.
Far from Perfect, Damici carried this film on his back.
Criminally underrated Character Actor.
