The werewolf look in Late Phases was disappointing, but maybe not the worst werewolf ever. It reminded me of something Jim Henson might have done. In fact it might have fit in Labyrinth. With a long snout it could have been Wile E. Coyote.

Robert Kurtzman was the creature effects producer??? David Greathouse is credited as the creature creator, and is listed first in the Special Effects credits.. I am not sure what all of that means. Did Greathouse call the shots and Kurtzman just took his paycheck home? www.imdb.com/title/tt2420756/fullcredits/

I was not questioning your statement nor was I questioning wikipedia, which only mentions him briefly. I was just surprised that Kurtzman had anything to do with that rather humorous looking creature. I do not know who in a special effects department has the most control. But this seems to suggest that Kurtzman was in fact in control of the werewolf look. The review linked from the above heaps praise on the transformation scene in Late Phases. I found it OK but not all that amazing in terms of practical effects.

I am watching Late Phases again. I started off just looking at the credits, which show Kurtzman as Creature Effects Producer. Sure sounds like he is to 'blame' for the funny looking werewolf. As I said, I just intended to look at the credits but then the movie was playing and ...
