More thoughts.
When I first saw the title High Moon aka Howlers, I thought it might be a send up. High Moon being an Old West reference pun and Howlers as in funny jokes. But judging from the trailers, the movie seems to be completely serious about its topic and not a send up.

Watched it. 19th century cowboy guy trained by ninja from another dimension is resurrected in the 21st century to fight werewolves from the 19th century, who have learned to ride motorcycles. Right.  Acting and dialog are less than sparkling. Convoluted infidelity story is both distracting and annoying. Story is crazy and too comic book for me. Ending is ... wha??? Werewolf look is strange but I suppose it fits with talking werewolves wearing biker colors. Big body count, lots of blood and dismemberment. But unless I missed it, you never actually see a wound on a living person. Too much $ to pull that stuff off credibly, whereas mannequin parts and fake blood are cheap. |

SomeOldGuy Watching bad movies so we don't have to. With my OCD, you know a movie is really bad if I do not watch it to the end. Recall that I stopped watching Lycan Colony after five minutes.  Howlers was not that bad. |
