I know there was already a thread on this but since it went inactive 11 years ago, perhaps I can be forgiven for starting over.
IMO this movie has a bad rep that is not really deserved. True it is no Gone With the Wind of werewolf movies. Yet it has a lot going for it. A really nasty werewolf, plenty of gore and I do not mean just tomato paste. It also has some gratuitous sex in places, mostly of a rather unsavory sort. Acting is not all that great but I have seen much worse. At least it is not bad enough to get in the way. The best actor in the movie is the werewolf himself who is as I said quite nasty. The werewolf look is 'man in a suit' but not a bad one and having the werewolf talk (nastily of course) while ripping people up helps 'sell' the appearance.

I understand there was an edited for TV version. I cannot imagine how that would work out. The gore (and the sex) is not of the kind you can get away with on network TV.

You know from early on who the werewolf is going to be. No red herrings. It is a question of proving it and what to do about it. An interesting twist is that the werewolf goes to the isolated cabin to hide out during the full moon and the college kids going there to party is what gets them killed. I must say that I have a problem with the double 'it aint over' ending, the second one after the closing credits. Why can't it just be over?
