SyFy TV movie. From the title you might expect something like Lavalantula’s Prom Date or 19 Headed Shark. Surprise, it was a cut or two above the usual SyFy norm. The plot was credible (for a horror movie) if predictable. Acting and dialog were OK. The creature, while CGI, was not half bad.
Giant (and evil) oil company is illegally drilling instead of just surveying on Native American land. They unearth old relics which their boss tells them to blow up before anyone knows. This causes spirit wolf to seek vengeance. Good body count follows but with little visible gore. A few twists and turns keep the movie afloat. Overall a fairly decent watch without the idiocy typical of SyFy movies.
Although a spirit wolf, the creature is technically a werewolf because it was a human long ago.
