Teenaged Eleanor Crane (Ashley Lyn Cafagna) is sent to Balotesti, Romania to stay with her uncle Peter (Robin Atkin Downes) while her diplomat parents are busy doing...I dunno...diplomat stuff, I guess. She receives a pretty cold welcome at the train station but that's nothing compared to when she finally gets to Peter's house and he takes her right back to the station to send her back. Unfortunately, the last train of the day has already passed and Peter reluctantly lets her stay at his place, locking her in her room. Why the mystery? Well, the title should let you know. Turns out Peter has been recently bitten by a werewolf and Eleanor had the mis-fortune of arriving during the full moon! Okay, this one wasn't exactly good, but for what it was it wasn't bad. A 90s-era Charles Band/Full Moon feature (the folks behind the Subspecies and Puppetmaster franchise), it was supposed to be one of four 'Reborn!' features utilizing the famous Universal Monster archetypes but only this and 'Frankenstein Reborn!' were actually made. It looks and plays like a TV movie, really. Nothing particularly new or unique about it. IMDb lists it at 70 minutes but the streaming version clocks in at just under fifty. Honestly, I'm not sure another 20 minutes would help a movie like this. Sure, it'd be nice to get a little more characterization going but as it is, it hops right to business and doesn't overstay its welcome. Free on Tubi tubitv.com/movies/478161/the_werewolf_reborn

Although it is something under 45 minutes excluding credits, it was still hard to get to the end. I do agree that it was all about werewolf stuff with essentially no back story filler. Just enough to lend a little pathos to splattering the picture with blood near the end. BTW did the werewolf remind you of Alice Cooper?
