In the late 80s/early 90s comic artist Mark Schultz began publishing a series called Xenozioc Tales. A post-apocalyptic tale, it was moderately successful due largely to his art and it did even better when it started being published with a new name that highlighted some of its main draws - CADILLACS AND DINOSAURS.
Very fun, pulpy stuff that inspired a small cottage industry of tie-ins, including an animated series.
