IMDb rating is 3.7, which does not sound good. But the rating distribution is all over the place. It is not the usual bunch of anonymous 10/10 and everything else in the basement but lots of votes and comments up and down the scale. But as you say, 14 bucks is pretty steep for an unknown quantity.
