This morning, I dug us out of snow (the dogs helped!). In a bit, we are heading to the in-laws for gifts & food, then we go to church with my family and go have a drink at the local bar after that, then we head home to get ready to host Christmas day.
The Better Half cooks far too much food for Christmas Day, and both our immediate families come over for dinner, more gifts & a few drinks. The kids run with the dogs and we chat, play cards, and have a great time! Christmas is my favorite day of the year! Merry Christmas to all! Hopefully the pup and I won't get called to search for anyone over the holidays!

Every year In America, TBS shows "A Christmas Story" literally all day. I believe I already mentioned that. But I just found out something new...another channel, FX, is going to be showing "Robots" all day on Christmas. That's the 3-D animated movie with Robin Williams and Ewan McGregor from '05. As far as I can remember, it isn't a holiday-themed film, so that's a little odd. But it's decent, so I'll watch it. Terry Gilliam's "Brazil" is the best christmas-themed science fiction movie. I didn't think it was a christmas movie until I watched it again recently. It's also the most surreal christmas movie ever (even more so than "Nightmare Before Christmas"). It's kind of sad that nobody in the UK seems to have seen "A Christmas Story"; it is a wonderful film. They should show it more over here. Anyhoo, the christmas binge-drinking has begun already for me so I'll be brief. I tried not to drink too much since I'm going to midnight mass and I don't want to be all drunk and start swearing at the priest, like last year. A merry christmas to all and to all and to all ...

Sorry Marcus, haven't been reading this. It was the original Cat People, from the forties. Was pretty good! The sequel's on tonight on BBC2, is meant to be better....

I've not seen the original cat people, i have seen the re-make with Malcolm McDowell. I quite liked it. Loved Bowie's soundtrack too.
