Afraid not. Last spiderman comics I read was some time ago, and delt with him going after Carnage, teaming himself up with Mobius and Venom, whilst Carnage had Demogoblin and someone else I don't remember.

I'm a little behind, but from the spoilers I haven't been able to avoid (I hate spoilers) it looks like I'm in for another stretch of not reading for awhile. At least Ultimate Spider-Man is still going good.

Afraid not. Last spiderman comics I read was some time ago, and delt with him going after Carnage, teaming himself up with Mobius and Venom, whilst Carnage had Demogoblin and someone else I don't remember. "Maximum Carnage!" Good story. I should get the graphic novel of that one, if I can find it. I used to play the video game on SEGA Genesis all the time. I'm a little behind, but from the spoilers I haven't been able to avoid (I hate spoilers) it looks like I'm in for another stretch of not reading for awhile. At least Ultimate Spider-Man is still going good. I won't spoil it for you, but if you're like me, you're not going to be too happy with the new direction. I wrote a long blog on my site that nobody reads about it...a longer one than I wanted to. Ultimate Spider-Man is definitely my favorite comic book that I never actually buy (I follow it by skimming it at the comic shop and reading the graphic novels at Borders. I'm cheap; comics are expensive these days). Did you see the last issue with the Goblin fight?

The whole endless Venom/Carnage crap (following way to close after the Spider-Clone biz for my taste) is what put me off the mainstream Spider-Man comics last time.

Heh heh. The clone saga. Now that went on forever. And what do we have to show for it today? Well, obviously nothing now, but even before "One More Day" happened, there were about as many references to its consequences as there are to Onslaught and the "Heroes Reborn" mini-era. The only thing that really lasted from the clone saga was Norman Osborn's return to life.
I always was a mark for Venom and Carnage. I've always been rooting for Carnage to die. I was elated when the Silver Surfer froze him in an unbreakable shell, but he was free from it less than a year later with no explanation.
