I've been lurking here for awhile so I thougth I'd join.
I am an independent filmmaker with 24 years in the video production industry.
Werewolves have been my favorite monster since I was a kid. I prefer the man-in-the-make-up werewolves over the bipedal animatronics because as a filmmaker, the main character has to be able to convery emotions, especially werewolves as they are tomented souls. An animatronics makes me care nothing for the character.
My favorite werewolf movie is THE CURSE OF THE WEREWOLF, with THE WOLFMAN coming in second, and AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON in third. I enjoy the others, but these three are my favs. After these movies, I love Paul Naschy and his films, with NIGHT OF THE WEREWOLF being my favorite of his. Recently, I have been enjoying WOLF with Jack Nicholson. It could almost pass as a remake of THE WOLFMAN.
I am in the beginning stages of developing my own werewolf movie and just don't have time to write it. Was wondering if anyone here has any experience writing a good story.
It doesn't have to be in script form, just be a solid story. If I can secure some funding I might be able to pay you, otherwise it will be the usual credit only with possible dividends if the movie goes to distribution and makes a profit.
If the story is solid enough, I can get legendary cult filmmaker Ted V. Mikels to stamp his name on it, which will guarantee funds and distribution.
I have a couple of storylines floating around, just need someone to take one and make it great. The movie will be man in make-up, and very classic in nature, paying tribute the movies I grew up on, which are story driven with a good ol fashioned love story intertwined and of course, cinematic. I also intend to fuse some gore for shock value as it is a werewolf movie.
If this is something you think you can do and want to do, contact me via email and we'll begin the process.
I am a straight-up honest guy, so I expect the same.
Thanks a lot everyone. I look forward to some good conversations about Werewolves and Wolfmen!
