Personally I would have bought it anyway, but that's probadly just my Naschiphilia raising it's ugly head. On the other hand...all werewolf Naschy films released in spain are (almost) available with english subtitles in other countries. 'El Retorno del Hombre Lobo' is a good example, it's one of the best films he made, and in my opinion right up there with "American Werewolf" and "Wolfman". the spanish DVD has horrible colour, the last few minutes are so dark they are unwatchable. BCI is preparing to release the definitive version of thi film however, in both spanish and english packed with extra's. the only downside is the HORRIBLY inaccurate release dates. It shoudl have been out november 2006, and is now coming out (i hope) februari 2007. Amazon.com claims it's ready for shipping, and stupid stupid yours truly ordered it on the initial release date only to later discover the date was moved once more. Amazon now has my money, and I have no DVD. The latest cover art however, restored my faith... enjoy, and beware of the full moon

The only two werewolf flicks in this line of dvds are this one (don't buy it, good film, bad print) and "La Maldicion de la Bestia" (spelled right?) AKA "Night of the Howling Beast"/"Werewolf vs the Yeti", which is also supposed to be VERY good. it is supposed to have a bit of an Indiana Jones adventure, with Naschy being the werewolved hero. The dvd is supposed to be way better than the others in the collection, but allas not subtitled an full frame. It might take a while for a DVD version to arrive in an english format, but who knows. Then again, if it was me...I'd already have bought it, subtitles or not.

To be more accurate it's sort of "Werewolf of London"...man gets bitten by wolf in Tibet. Only he stays in Tibet (I think) and he meets lesbian female vampires, chicks, rough mountain men and a Yeti a lot of action in this one i hear another notable difference is that the werewolf isn't a 1930's sissy boy, but a 1970's Spanish Bad Ass super hero called PAUL NASCHY! gotta love that guy...

You had me at "lesbian female vampires."
