Step right up, Hawkeye.
I'm compiling werewolf movies on DVD so that I can rip scenes and make a video collage of the best transformation scenes. Since the Naschy films are so popular around here, I feel they should be represented. I've only seen "Werewolf vs. The Vampire Women." Are there any Naschy movies that have better TF scenes than that one?

The ones i've seen have quite origional transformation's. "La Marca del Hombre Lobo" (avaible as "Frankenstein's bloody Terror") has a scene where a sort of red filter is used to make Naschy go from steaming red, to steaming red but out of focus and then directly to his awesome Werewolf make-up. Noy very traditional, but very cool. Most on screen transformations are avoided in Naschy films, quite wisely. He realised he could'nt do it whitout making it corny, so only used the affect when absolutely neccesary. And then there is "El Retorno del Hombre Lobo". I've seen bits of the transformation on you-tube. Looks really cool, and I am CRAVING (get it? Craving?) for the DVD realease, now further postponed (!!!) to March 2007 (a crime considering it should have been out August 2006) www.youtube.com/watch?v=5oqr_KEi0xIgood luck! I should really make my own Youtube account. My "boss" (the dude who made the head-in-jar-flick) still has to lend my Adobe Premiere, and I have to see if I can ripp or somehow upload my DVDs on my computer.

What's wrong with "Van Helsing"?
I don't think the melting one will be in this one. It makes me sick. I was considering making a collage of bad transformation scenes, though...that would definately include the one from "Darkwolf."

But the melting puddle aint bad. sure it may be bad as a transformation, but it had good effects. and thats what counts. Also. Im glad you guys are back. I was worried that this forum had gone completely dead

Well, the "La Marca..." transformation was actually pretty good, but geuss you want a solid man to wolf transformation "Curse of the Devil" might do the trick, it has two I can think of. The first one you can see a still of on the page in the databank on the site (3rd). It's a) Naschy kiss girl b) naschy pops up and girl sees half hairy Naschy [3rd still] c) half hairy Naschy bites d) girl dies and complete wolf Naschy pops up. The other features the traditional fade-to-next-stage-of-make-up but I didnt like that one myself. And as long as I have something to say about it this forum won't die out just yet

I'm debating on whether or not to include the one from "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban." It's strange, because the effects are pretty good, but the actual wolf looks like a skinny rat man. And it goes by really fast.

Well, I wouldn't count the Potter movie as a fully fledged Werewolf movie...so I'll leave it up to you

I think one of the reasons I wanted to include it was so that people who read about it on this site, but haven't seen it, can see it without having to waste time renting the movie.
Right now I'm waiting to get "Werewolf of London" in the main from Netflix. Not the best transformation, but it worked in its time, and I want some classics to show the evolution of the werewolf style.

Now wait a minute. Your talking about HP3 as if it was a bad movie I thought it was a good movie with an ugly werewolf.

HP3 was not bad, it just didn't stand out. Good point about people going to see it for the wolf action and hardly getting any
