I wonder if he was thinking about eating the chipmonk alien that was buying a drink at the bar.

I was beyond angry when Lucas removed Lak Sivrak from the special edition of the Cantina scene, yet he left in a number of much lamer creatures. I was so glad when he finally released the original versions on DVD, since we all knew that Han shot first. ;D I was also glad for the Clone Wars cartoon series in which the Jedi Voolvif Monn character was introduced.

I don't see why it matters that Han shot first? It never made me think any less of him!

I know! The guy was already being held at gunpoint, he had every reason to shoot. I'd actually think less of him for allowing Greedo to get a shot in first.

That's not the Han Solo i know and love. He'd never be beaten to the draw by a Green alien with a stupid voice! Speaking of which has anyone seen the Family Guy inspired episode "Blue Harvest" yet? I got it for my birthday and really enjoyed it.

Never got into Family Guy.
And I agree it's much better when Han shoots first. It's a much cooler look to the scene.

I've always enjoyed Family Guy and i loved their take on Star Wars. They've always done loads of Star Wars related jokes in the show as all the writers are huge fans of it. They pretty much use the origianl film score in it which i loved since i've always been a fan of the music. They now working on one taking of the Empire Strikes Back which i believe is to be called "Something, Something, Something, Dark Side!"

I used to love Family Guy, but I've gone off it a bit recently. I didn't think much of their Star Wars episode ... it was a bit self indulgent and they seemed to be more concerned with recreating scenes than actually making jokes.

I thought the jokes were good although there wasn't as many as i thought there would be.

coming back to Han shooting first: I actually prefer to think Han shot Greedo in cold blood, it makes his development as a character much more interesting. I call it the "from scoundrel to superhero" theory

It's not really "in cold blood" when the guy/girl/alien is sitting there with a blaster pointed right at you pretty much saying they plan on killing you, is it?
Either way, Han shot first.

What would Kirk do? The Shat would have known how to deal with alien fiends like Greedo!
Either way, Han shot first.
