So, what would be your ideal werewolf plot for a film?
Would you want a pack of werewolves or a single one?
Would they be the hero or the villian (or both)?
Would it be set in an urban setting or out in the wilds?
Would there be comedy in it, or hard horror only?
A Gorefest, a scarefest, or some other kind of fest?
Would the werewolf accept what they were or fight against it?
Would they be part of a hidden society or not?
Would the wolf's attitude be animalistic, beastial, or other?

Hmmm. I don't think there's really such a thing as a perfect plot for a werewolf movie. For the most part I could accept any or all of the above options as long as the movie itself worked as a whole. I'll answer a couple of them though. Would they be the hero or the villian (or both)? For me, the werewolf has to be at least part-villain. Some would disagree, but heroic werewolves just need really did it for me. It's not what a werewolf represents. Would there be comedy in it, or hard horror only? This is an interesting question. Most of my favourite werewolf movies have comedy in them and often a slightly tongue-in-cheek approach, but also with moments of seriousness. So generally speaking, a mixture of both is good. A Gorefest, a scarefest, or some other kind of fest? A wolf-fest of course!

Wow could this be any tougher??? Here goes......
Pack of werewolves or single?Pack. I love it in films when someone escapes from one monster only to run head first into another!
Would they be hero or villian Villians. They'd be really nasty and evil.
Urban setting or out in the wilds In the wild. Much more fun when they're running through the woods, etc
Would there be any comedy in it, or hard horror only Hint of comedy, like in Dog Soldiers
A gorefest, a scarefest or some other kind of fest Gorefest
Would the werewolf accept what he is or fight against it Accept their fate and enjoy it!
Would they be part of a hidden society or not Tough one. Hidden i guess. I'd want people to be surprised when the werewolves identity is revealed.
Would the wolfs attitude be animalistic, beastial or other beastial

single
hero or the villian (no preferrence)
urban setting or out in the wilds (no preferrence)
mix of laughs and sick shit
Gorefest, Classic Monsterfest, low on shock
accept or fight against it (no preferrence)
Would they be part of a hidden society (good idea!)
wolf's attitude (no preferrence)
about the setting, wouldn't a werewolf be cool in Urban USSR?

I like all types of werewolf films as long as it is a good story with interesting characters and is well told. Scary is always good, though.

Hmm, good topic! Obviously I'm pretty happy with anything original or unusual, but if I was deciding :
Pack or single: Pack! More werewolves is always a good thing. Hero or Villain: Both- either one hero and lots of villains or vice versa. One renegade! Urban or wild: Possibly wild, no strong preference. Comedy or horror: Horror with lots of black comedy Gorefest or scarefest: Both! Acceptance or reluctance: Tricky... maybe they should start out hating it and gradually come to love their new werewolfery Hidden society: Why not, you'll only get some sort of extermination squad involved otherwise Wolf's attiftude: Nearly uncontrollable animalistic savagery!
One more thing: most of my friends love vampires and metal. Therefore Lost Boys is perfect for them. I love werewolves and punk rock. So a punk werewolf film would be so perfect for me! Anyone gonna make one? Pleeease??

Survey says...
Would you want a pack of werewolves or a single one?
I prefer three or less, unless it's a situation where you have the protagonist rebelling against a pack. But that's been done enough.
Would they be the hero or the villain (or both)?
Hero. Werewolves are always the villains, except in "Blood & Chocolate" and "Howling 6," and in "Blood & Chocolate," the one hero werewolf only became a wolf once. Meanwhile, there are numerous stories with heroic vampires in some form or another. Gimme something different.
Would it be set in an urban setting or out in the wilds?
Both. Mostly urban, I guess.
Would there be comedy in it, or hard horror only?
Comedy. Lots of sarcasm and wolf and dog jokes.
A Gorefest, a scarefest, or some other kind of fest?
Oktoberfest. No, wait, too much alcohol. How about a smash-fest? A lot of fighting with things getting broken and bloodied and shattered. And there should be a fall from a building onto a car.
Would the werewolf accept what they were or fight against it?
Accept it and harness it for his/her own purposes. Maybe get some inner dialogue between human and wolf going. They did that it a book once, it was brilliant.
Would they be part of a hidden society or not?
Nah. This isn't the Matrix.
Would the wolf's attitude be animalistic, bestial, or other?
Animalistic. "Don't pee on the furniture! What the hell?!" "Sorry...force of habit." "I'll force that habit up your arse if you do it again..."
(Hee hee...I said "arse." That's not even a word.)

So, what would be your ideal werewolf plot for a film? "Would you want a pack of werewolves or a single one?" A pack "Would they be the hero or the villian (or both)?" Both. Some are good, some are bad, with everything inbetween. "Would it be set in an urban setting or out in the wilds?" Whatever would work best for the story. Though I do love forests... "Would there be comedy in it, or hard horror only?" Both would be good. Or a werewolf drama would be pretty cool too. "A Gorefest, a scarefest, or some other kind of fest?" A call-of-the-wild-fest "Would the werewolf accept what they were or fight against it?" Maybe fight it at first, than accept it later on. "Would they be part of a hidden society or not?" Sure. Nothing too crazy though. Like, "We're 200 years ahead with technology than the humans...but shhhh..." *beams up to spaceship. "Would the wolf's attitude be animalistic, beastial, or other?" I dont know what the difference is, but when transformed acts wolfie

Now this is easy. Make it 8' 11" tall on two legs Hero definitely Not a pack, make him (or her) the first of their kind wilds and urban dark humor mostly, little horror thrown in,possibly have an underworld 2 style scene somewhere in it (if ya catch ma drift) Everything fest, and let there be drinking and a drunken werewolf wolfing out and rips a mountain lion to shreds Enjoy it. If you're going to live a long time, enjoy it. but give them anger issues, so they can control it normaly, but whe they're angry, the become monsters controlled by there rage. No hidden society. Normaly in control, but they wolf out when pissed at someone or something.

Being drunk yesterday, i totally agreed with myself that a werewolf with dreadlocks would be the coolest thing ever, but then me and myself came to an understanding about me being a complete idiot no... seriously Would you want a pack of werewolves or a single one?I'm thinking the protagonist is a werewolf, fighting an army of them, so that's both Would they be the hero or the villian (or both)?kind of answered that above Would it be set in an urban setting or out in the wilds? Both i guess... but a chase scene through the woods is a must-have Would there be comedy in it, or hard horror only?Delicate comedy, like in AWIL and DS A Gorefest, a scarefest, or some other kind of fest?BLOODFEST!!!! Would the werewolf accept what they were or fight against it?In the beginning he/she's fighting it, but then starting to enjoy it and turning to the dark side (woohoo, totally Star Wars with werewolves... maybe i should start writing a screenplay) Would they be part of a hidden society or not?Hidden society be GOOD!!! Or maybe an empire of werewolves (Star Wars again... maybe call it "The Empire Strikes Hairy Back" Would the wolf's attitude be animalistic, beastial, or other?Kind beastial... it would be bipeds, but with a supporting arm/frontleg, so that they would run on three legs in a kind of limping way... now that's scary!

It all depends on how it's executed. Generally I do enjoy a good bit of gore.
