great transformation i chose for one of my movies. okay s o the teeth enlarge, the ears taper you think;normaltf right;but then the skin melts off, so you see the mucles and bones reforming, the snout elongates and then the werewolf skin & fur grow. how does that sound?

Company of Wooooolves. There are a few interesting transformations in that one. It didn't have a huge budget but it was innovative.

Sounds ok, depending on if you can make it look realistic enough.
I've always wanted to see a transormation done, where the skin turns inside out as if the fur had been there, but on the inside of the skin. - I think it was in Company of Wolves that mentioned wolves with the fur on the inside.

Yeah, the fur being on the inside of the skin was one of the original werewolf legends as far back as roman times. The latin for werewolf literally means 'turn-skin'.
That's our factoid for the day.

Sounds complicated. Might be hard to do without CGI and we've all seen how CGI werewolves can turn out.

Yeah, it'd probably need CGI, but not like they used it in Van helsing.
CGI seems to work best in conjunction with physical effects. It'd probably work nicely if you had the basic effect using a physical effect, than adding the details that cannot be done physically with the CGI as enhancements and augmentation rather then replacement.

I always figured the fur was inside the skin and it just went through to the other side when the person changed. Then I just decided it came from chemicals in the body, at least in my stories. Not that I've ever made that the basis of a story.

A number of sucky werewolf stories, a couple good werewolf stories, a were-cat story, a couple ghost/revenge stories, a western that won me $100, etc. dedwyre.deviantart.com
