I always thought this was one of the better werewolf-themed episodes of an animated program. The show itself was quality through-and-through, and this episode was no exception. The werewolf design was cool, whether on two legs or running on all fours, and I liked what it did for the character of Xanatos, one of the best villains in any kids' show. Anyone else got any love for this show/episode? It's available on DVD in the Gargoyles: Season 2, Volume 1.

I've got the full series of Gargoyles. And I agree it was a really good cartoon.
The episode you mention is a good one, showing some of Xanatos's personality more than just as a villian.
I also remember one where Cayote becomes possessed by the spirit of annubis and turns into a cayote like werewolf thing.
Actaully thinking about it, there was also a couple of episodes about the Pack where they'd all been "improved" wolf had become somekind of werewolf type character that was always in his "beast" form.

If you notice in one particular scene in the first episode where the Pack gets "upgraded", Wolf looks quite a bit more beast-like than normal. According to the series producer, it was intended that Wolf would become increasingly wolfish the angrier he got, but because the animators didn't animate the idea clearly or just outright failed to pick up on the cue, the idea was never drawn out. However, the producer is now writing a Gargoyles comic series that is a continuation of the cartoon, so one wonders if Wolf ever happens to make an appearance, if that idea will be followed up on...

Could be. I remember they had some pretty good actors doing the voices for a number of the characters in the series.

"Gargoyles" was a good series. I'd like to own the whole thing on DVD, but I don't care to spend that much money on DVDs. I have "Eye of the Beholder" on my computer, though.
