Any place on earth that feels like hell, is a portal to hell I wonder if a portal to hell opens in a cinema whenever a Gore Verbinski movie is shown?

Rather liked most of his films. Thought mousehunt was a laugh.

I'm nicely impressed with how good this has been so far. Sometimes the cgi is a little less than great, but on the whole the effects have been excellent. They've hit a good balance so far. I wonder if they'll introduce an underlaying story arch, or repeat villian (besides the devil of course ) or if it'll stay as just one soul per episode. With it being american, and how other american shows like this go, I'd expect somekind of season wide plot to begin to emerge. Maybe have already seen the start of it: SPOILER WARNING - highlight to read. When the father burned that particular page from the contract. END SPOILER

Yes, I hope so too. I hate it when shows end up being too episodic and the characters don't get to be developed at all. Certain shows can get away with it, but generally you do want a story arc.

Well, we had a mini hell-hound and a giant dog/soul this week, so that was fun.

Saw an episode of this last night. It wasn't bad but i think i need to see it from the beginning to fully understand what's happening. Loved Ray Wise as the devil. I love the fact that the devil is named Jerry!

Yeah, it helps to have seen the series from the start so you know what's happening in the relations and how the characters fit together.
And I agree that the Devil is both written and played really well.

Depending on how far along the show is, it might not matter that much as to whether or not you've seen the previous episodes. The 'arc' plot doesn't really get going until you're about half way through the season, before that it's a fairly episodic 'monster of the week' type show.
