Screw the critics. Screw the book. That was a good movie. It's probably going to be universally hated because it wasn't like the book, but I liked it. I'll try to write a more extensive review later, but right now I'm too tired. I just wanted to mention that I saw it.

I've not heard great things about it, but i'll reserve judgement till i've seen it for myself. The poster and trailer i saw didn't exactly sell it, especially since the trailer was so short if you blinked you missed it!

The poster sucks, I'll admit that. It looks like its advertising a psychological thriller about a crazy serial killer girl.

I'll probably go and see it this week. I don't pay much attention to critics in general, except one fella called Mark Kermode who refused to review "Blood and Chocolate" since they didn't screen it for critics over here. I don't think they did in the US either? They must have anticipated the response.

Well, I hope you like it, too. If not, no biggie. I fully expect to add "B&C" to my list of movies I like that no one else does, along with "Van Helsing," "Texas Chainsaw Massacre (newest)" and "League of Extraordinary Gentlemen."

Hey, I liked "Van Helsing". So did Mark Kermode and Roger Ebert. In the world of film criticism, who the hell else matters?

LASERBLAST~! I have that on MST3K, too. Glorious.
Screw critics. I've never been a fan of those who make a living out of criticising artists.

Personal opinions Indeed, Phaedrus, for what is truth? What can we know? On the other hand, if "Laserblast" being better than "Blade Runner" can be held as truth, it's pretty much open season. Therefore, I'm Elvis. Weeee. Yeah. Too much coffee for one night.

And what's wrong with criticising artists? I do it all the time.
I don't criticise their works, mind. I just yell insults at them as they walk down the street.

No, just a sense of accomplishment. Misery is the essence of art, and I'm just doing my part to make artists miserable. Maybe I should start mugging them, too ...
