I saw Project metalbeast when it came out. Very good special effects.
Starts of with a werewolf being killed at the beginning. Stressed out Scientist guy injects the werewolf blood into himself. He slowly transforms (like just one excellent werewolf hand with claws) and goes around killing his mates.
He gets shot with a tranquilizer and is then experimented on with cyborg components to make him an army killing machine. But Metalbeast just likes to kill anything...
Love It

I'm sure if you look out for it it will eventually be shown on Zone Horror on Sky.

I think I still have it on tape. I wish I would have recorded it when it was on TNT MonsterVision with Joe Bob Briggs. Man, I miss that show.

I remember seeing metalbeast. Was all gore and running round being chased from what I remember.
Do remember the wolf looked rather interesting, and as it was part metal it tended to be rather bullet proof.
Hmm, I think I'll hunt it out.

Was it a TV thing or did he do introductions before movie showings? It was kind of a show...they would air a horror movie, usually b-level in quality, and Briggs would introduce it, appear before and after commercials, and end it. He'd usually be sitting in a trailer park at night or something. At the beginning, he'd run down a count of how many ripped off arms, severed head, flying eyeballs, yakuza getting throwing stars to the head, etc. there would be in the film. Occasionally, he'd have a guest to talk about the film...one night, they did a double feature of "They Live" and "Immortal Combat," and Roddy Piper was there with Briggs the whole time. I might still have that recorded, actually. The most memorable moment of the show in general was when they showed "Howling III: The Marsupials," before the commercial break and after the girl had shown Donnie her new baby... Briggs:"You know when she showed Donnie that little slime creature? And what'd he say? 'It's beautiful.' It's not beautiful! It looks like Yoda!"

Yes, a male trailer-park version of Elvira.
