It can be a difficult movie to watch, especially if you have the uncut version with all the animal cruelty in it.
But, it is an iconic cannible film. And, as such, should be something to watch if your into horror.

I love me horror, but I draw the line at films using real torture and killing of either animals or people for purely exploitation entertainment purposes. The Jackass films are as close as I get to that, but they all do it of free will and get paid loads...and are all complete idiots ;D

I havn't seen Howling II, but I've seen Howling III. I liked the concept of marsupial werewolves and I thought it had a really sweet story to it, but the only issue I had with Howling III was that it was rushed. I've seen the first Howling, and I'm debating on whether I should buy it at walmart, which only includes a double feature with another movie (another horror movie, but it's not even a werewolf movie.) or try to find it elsewhere. Howling New Moon Rising I believe it was...was terrible. They don't even show the werewolf until the very end, and it was really borring. It was basically a bunch of square dancing and they don't even show the werewolf until the very VERY end.

I manged to pick up the anniversary edition of the howling at a surprisingly low cost. I've no plans of ever buying the sequals - I try to pretend they don't exist.

I wonder where I can find a copy of Howling III for DVD... I heard some of the sequals weren't that bad. Everyone says Howling II was the worst sequal but...I don't think anything could possibly beat New Moon Rising as far as sucky-ness is concerned. I'll have to see it myself.

Oh yeah...NEW MOON RISING is definitely one of the worst movies I've ever seen. HOWLING II is tons better. Which, considering how bad H II is....that's saying a lot.

For me Howling 2 is the worst sequal of all the howling sequals. The film is just wrong, and those responsible for it should have been fired and banned from the film industry forever.
In fact the film company should come onto national TV and apologies for making it.

I still get a buzz knowing that Christopher Lee and Peter Cushion were really good friends. I just like to imagine Van Helsing and Dracula sitting down for tea and cucumber sandwiches Werewolf, if you've not seen Captain Invinicible, you should look it up, it's a superhero musical where Christopher plays the villian and sings!

That description isn't far off the mark from what i understand of their friendship. Somewhere amongst my many saved magazines i have a copy of the radio times which featured one of Peter Cushings last interviews which was a joint one with Christopher Lee. I'll have to see if i can find. I was always a Hammer Horror fan and i liked to see Peter do Dr Frankenstein as well as Van Helsing. I really cannot imagine Christopher Lee singing!!!!!!!!!

I'm pretty sure he's a trained baritone, and I'm sure I heard that he once sang in an Italian opera-metal band!
