The 1956 film "The Werewolf" is not only coming to DVD in October (in a collection with three other films from producer Sam Katzman), but it's the first time it's been available on home video. Details here: www.fangoria.com/news_article.php?id=4741

Damn it, I only just managed to hunt down an obscure copy of this. I was feeling all proud of myself.

Yeah, US release. You mean there's other places??? ;D
I've got a copy duped off of....American Movie Classics I think it was, ages ago but it'll be nice to have a legit release.

I can REALLY recommend an all-region DVD player to all you folks in non-region 1 places (like me). A whole new world unfolded before my very eyes since I have mine. The beatles' song "She Loves You" is about my DVD player.

Oh i've already got one but i'm always interested to know if there's a UK release of movies like that as we always seem to have a distinct lack of good stuff.

That and they have a nasty habbit over here of either trimming the film alittle, or they don't have as many extras on the disk as the american release.
Where I can, I compare the two versions before I buy to see which gives me the most. If their the same I buy English, if the amerian is cheaper or has extras then I get that one.
I'll keep an eye out for the set and pick it up I think.

If you've got Fearnet on your cable system (maybe satellite too for all I know) this movie is available now for free on demand.
