I like the simpsons, but I'll wait till it comes on TV to watch.
It's not something I'd pay to go see.

No, not really.
The simpsons is one of those programs that I'll watch if I see it as I'm flicking through channels, or if it's on when I've sat down to eat. I like it, and think it's funny, but it's not something I've become attached/addicted to.
I think one reason for that, is I rarely see new episodes, the ones I catch always seem to be repeats of ones I've seen 3 or 4 times.

I like The Simpsons too (although I think it is nowhere near as good as it used to be), but I honestly have very little interest in paying to see an 80 min episode. Happy to wait for it on tv one day amongst the endless repeats of the old episodes.
Personally, I'm much more excited about Transformers. They're robots in disguise, you know.

Personally, I'm much more excited about Transformers. They're robots in disguise, you know. Robots disguised as ... robots? Eek! It does look pretty sweet. I know it's wrong to be excited about a Michael Bay film, but I'm with you on this one. He may have found his "Driving Miss Daisy". ( ... and thus Noel Clay became the first and last person to compare "Driving Miss Daisy" and "Transformers" ...)

LOL - sorry...just imagining Michael Bay's Driving Miss Daisy, now. Miss Daisy and the driver (playe by young sexy black guy and white girl) get it on, rob banks and go on the run. Cue loads of very loud car chases, gunfights and gratuitous violence all shot like a music video and edited like a 5yr old who's eaten way to many sweets.
I'd pay good money to see that film!

I can see the similarities between Transformers and Driving Miss Daisy. The transformers change their shape, and the cars change from one shape to another as the DMS progresses. Yes, yes, I think your on to something there. And the analogue of the Tin of tuna and energon cubes isn't lost on me either!
Oh, btw when you go to watch the simpson movie, don't get up when the end credits start, apparently there's more stuff either during or after the credits - not sure which.

MIGHT CONTAIN MILD SPOILERS
Well i finally saw this last night at the flicks. I conned my mother into going with me (she hates the simpsons) as my best mate is totally loved up at the moment and not bothered about going places with me! Young love eh?
Anyway there were very few people in the cinema and only a couple of young kids and embarrassingly i seemed to be the only one laughing most of the time! But i really enoyed it and there were some great scenes, not least of which involed Homer's Spiderpig routine and seeing Bart's penis! Even my mam laughed at bits of it!
However i think if your not a Simpson's fan this movie isn't going to make you one. Has anyone else seen it?

ive seen a spiderpig clip. I dont see why people find it funny. Well it's just something personal to individuals. My mates all found the Office really funny but i found it more cringeworthy than anything else. Life would be dull if we all liked the same things.
