Well, we've had the biggest earthquake here in the UK for the last 25 years. It measured 5.3 and happened at about 1am. It woke me up but than again, it did turn my bed into a vibrating massarge bed too ;D

Wow. I didn't think you had earthquakes. Glad it wasn't devastating.
I was told throughout elementary school that there would be a big earthquake here in Missouri sometime soon, but it's been quite a while since I've heard anything about it.

I was awake when it happened. Felt like something had landed on top of the house!

Nothin' shaking in Bristol.
First I heard about it was on the BBC news this morning.
Hope it didn't re-opened that Hellmouth beneath Grimsby
Sorry...been watching a lot of Buffy recently ;-)

I guess we were all really lucky. The one they had in Japan that measured 6.9 killed 20,000 people!

In the big San Fransisco earthquake most people died from fires, rather than the earthquake itself. Mainly because most people in the city's insurance didn't cover earthquake damage, but did cover fire damage, so they set fire to their own homes!!

I can see why they would say that. They don't seem to be that savy in linconshire as the people who have had their chimney's and roof's damaged told their insurance that it was because of the quake so naturally they are not covered. Insurance doesn't cover natural disasters.
