Hey guys. I've been to this site several times, mostly last year while I was doing research for my new werewolf horror movie, but haven't posted before.
I've written a script for a full length movie. My producer and I, were trying to come up with a new original horror film idea. Slasher movies had been done to death (no pun intended
), and we're both big zombie movie and werewolf movie fans. Then I came up with a cool way to kind of combine the ideas behind both. I thought about movies that treat zombies like a virus, and American Werewolf in london where the victims came back from the dead. Then I remembered Underworld, and the werewolf virus in it. So I thought, what if a werewolf virus was so strong, that it would transform anyone into a werewolf, even the dead victims of the werewolf's bite. That's right, Zombie Werewolves, with there guts hanging out from being half eaten.
I think the idea is pretty cool. So do a lot of people I've run the script by. Now I'm asking you guys, the werewolf/horror movie fans for feedback. I'm an independent filmmaker, so I don't work with a studio, so I don't really have to listen to big producers, I can listen to you guys. When I wrote the script, I went to a lot of horror sites to see what people want. And as a Horror fan myself, I wanted to make a fun, b-movie style film, like evil dead, or shaun of the dead.
Several months ago, I shot a short film, a couple scenes out of the full length movie script, kinda like a long trailer. To give people an idea of what I'm going for, and to try and find investors for the film. Please check out the website at www.thehowlerscome.com and let me know what you think.
