Well they've anounced the actress set to play Catwoman in the new Batman movie and thank god it's not Cher. However it is Anne Hathaway....... and Tom Hardy is to play main villian Bane.
Thoughts?

I'm not fond of 'Batman Begins' or 'The Dark Knight'...so I don't really care for part 3 either.

I'm concerned how they'll portray Bane. They made such a mess of it in the previous batman film set when they introduced him with poison ivy.
I enjoyed Batman Begins, I liked how they did the scarecrow, and the style of the film. Liked the Joker in the sequal, he worked really well I thought.

I liked "The Dark Knight" alot. My only complaint is Christian Bale overdid the acting as he was in the batman suit.
I guess Tom Hardy was ok in Star Trek Nemesis. That's the only movie I think i have seen with him in it.
Bane could be really cool if they do it right.

it's only now I realise who Tom Hardy is. I can't really imagine him playing Bane but I'm open to it. I geuss he was ok in 'Star Trek Nemesis' even though the film was a real stinker and a genuine lost opportunity. For a hilarious review of STN, other TNG movies (and the Star Wars Prequels) check this out: www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ZjkHUrEuHc

I envision Bane as a very muscle bound man, built like a brick shit house so i'm not sure Tom Hardy is up for the role, however i'm told he did a very good job of playing the lead role in Bronson and he can also be seen in Rocknrolla and inception apparently.
I have to say i think the new batman movies were the best thing to happen to the francise since Tim Burton left it! I'm looking forward to seeing how they end the films. They do seem to do well with casting actors who you just can't imagine in the roles. For example i just thought Heath Ledger would make a right balls up of playing the joker but he was truely excellent. So let's keep everything crossed that they've again made good casting choices with Hathaway and Hardy.

I have been impressed with the Christian Bale Batman movies.
I thought they would be terrible, but they so far have impressed me.

Would be nice if the last film they do is set where Batman ends up in arkhem Asylum, for one reason you'd get to see a load of villians

Star Trek: Nemesis was indeed a missed opportunity and as a huge Star Trek fan i was gutted. I liked Data, he was my favourite

yeah, I love the classic era and movies. The Shat rules! This forum tends to go horribly off topic in about every single thread! Where were we? Ahum, yes...I hope Adam West is back in Batman 3.

Don't you think they missed an opportunity with Adam West in these movies. They could have cast him as Alfred! Not that Micheal Caine isn't great you understand, just that could have been really fun!
Yeah we're really bad for getting off topic and as such Hawkeye.... have you seen Boston Legal? The Shat is truely excellent in it. It's not my usual type of programme but it's quite funny in places.

I agree it would have been nice if Adam West had been given a part, or a guest walkon or something, just to give a nod back to the old series. Boston Legal is great. One of my favorite series. Great humour and very good extended storyarcs. Though it seemed to be struggling a little towards the end, which is why I'm both glad and sad that they ended the show. one of the best ones was when they did Flashbacks for Danny (Shattner's character) to when he was first starting out in law, and they spliced in an old blank and white movie where a young Shattner was playing a lawyer. Worked really well. hmm, I think I'll rewatch all the seasons once I finish with Scrubs

Rumor has it they were going to give Adam West a cameo in the first Tim Burton film as Bruce Wayne's dad! Super idea! West has however stated that he was never asked, and would have refused had they done so He did voice a character in the animated show called 'The Gray Ghost'

Did he say why he would have refused? Adam West is great in Family Guy! So not afraid to make a a little fun of himself
