This is such a bad film. So bad infact I watched half of it on the fast forward, and gave up before the end and turned it off.
It's got some well known actors in it, who I'm guessing wish they'd never been persuaded to be in it.
The krugs (orcs by any other name) look like the make up people just bought a load of latex masks from a joke shope and glued them on.
A large wooden boom-a-rang does not look like a lethal war weapon that can stick in trees and take out 4 or 5 enermies at once!! - even if the one the hero has can do that so!!!
Apparently the director of this film is well known for making bad films. I forget the others he's done, but most are poor films.
An episode of Hercules or Xena had a better feel and quality than this film.

I never wanted to see this film in the first place, but that's just because it doesn't look like my type of movie. I think I'll stick with Jason Statham movies set in modern times. Except War; that was a waste of an hour and a half.

Yeah, I've never seen a good Uwe Boll movie. They're nearly always computer game adaptations and inexplicably have famous actors in. Alone in the Dark is worth watching tho as it's hilariously bad. Incidentally if anyone loves bad movies Troll 2 is on zone horror tonight, surely second only to Plan 9 as 'best worst movie ever'.

Oh, it was an Uwe Boll movie? I learned how bad those were when I saw Bloodrayne. I may have to start watching his movies just to see the badness...

I don't think i've heard of this film before. But if we're talking bad movies for god's sake don't waste your money on Dragon Wars! Total crap!

Well i've never actually taken any notice when people have told me not to buy or watch things as i prefer to make my own mind up. I thought Dragon Wars was total crap but you might enjoy it, i just wouldn't recommend paying full price if you can wait until it's reduced.

Definitely rent Dragon Wars. It was kinda fun in a mindless destruction way but that's about it.

I liked the serpant in it, thought it was done reasonably well. The storyline is a bit weak.
But for a gaint monster film it's not that bad. Though I agree that you shouldn't spend a lot of money on it. Something to pick up either off TV or in a bargan bucket.

I can probably get it with a free rental at a local video store or use a promo code on one of those Redbox vending machines nearby.

Didn't like the dragon at the end that much, but than I'm not keen on the chinese dragon look. I prefered the look of the serpent.

I quite enjoyed Dragon Wars. Utter rubbish, but the fx and the monster carnage was pretty cool :-)
I'm watching Dr Boll's (yes...he IS a qualified Doctor) BloodRayne tonight with some friends and lots and lots of beer.
His House of the Dead was one of the worst films I've ever seen. Period. Alone in the Dark was entertainingly bad, so I'm expecting similar globs of badness from BloodRayne. Can't wait for Dungeon Siege. Yay!
Needless to say I'm not paying to watch any of his films. That would only encourage him.

Ok...we actually ended up watching Dungeon Siege instead of BloodRayne last night.
Dear lord...what a steaming pile of ka ka. Even the beer didn't help.
What was Jason Statham thinking? Did he not read the script? Ray Liotta as an evil wizard?
I know Dr Boll had a sizable budget for this (about $60 million) so could get some 'name' actors. It also looked quite nice with good scenery and some decent FX....but he has no idea how to structure a coherent narrative or just tell a half-decent story. Acting was either adequate (Statham & John Rhys-Davies) or laughable (yes, Matthew Lillard...I'm looking at YOU)
Bad movie. Not even so bad it's good, just so bad it's bad.

Plan 9 has nothing on Troll 2. Neither do Manos, The Beast of Yucca Flats, Hard Rock Zombies or any others in the anals of bad moviedom. Troll 2 is in a class of it's own. Troll 2 is so inexplicably, astoundingly, breathtakingly bad that it transcends words like "bad", "awful", and "horrendous" as well as all forms of fiction oriented media. Troll 2 is simply a blight upon human existence and man-kind as we know it. Troll 2 is so bad that it literally bruises your mind. Troll 2 is beyond all human comprehension. I suspect I'm not even aware of the true power of Troll 2 because I subconsciously repressed certain aspects of the film to save myself from losing my mind entirely. In summation: Troll 2 ROCKS!
