Have I lost my mind, or did Robert Reed star as a werewolf in an obscure 70s TV movie? Anyone remember this one? I was just a kid when I saw it on Latenight Chiller, and I remember him getting shot at the end and transforming back to a man as he died. ?

I remember Moon of the Wolf. Not bad for a TV movie although the werewolf makeup was minimalist. I recall that when I watched it way back then and saw Barbara Rush in the credits at the beginning that it was going to be OK. Sort of a magic charm.

I do remember Scream of the Wolf, also one of those ABC-TV movies. I remember seeing Peter (Mission Impossible) Graves and Clint (Cheyenne) Walker in the credits and then Screenplay by Richard Matheson! and settled in for a hopefully pleasant evening. Overall it was pretty good if not great and the ending was just ... odd.

Been a while since I've watched Scream of the Wolf.
Recall the ending to be quite abrupt and uneventful.

If I am remembering the right movie, and remembering it correctly, Clint Walker's character turns out to be the killer, using a trained wolf. Peter Graves suddenly produces a gun we did not know he had and kills Walker.

I was expecting an action packed third act.
Oh well, Scream of the Wolf is still creepy and atmospheric.
What Dan Curtis does best. But a final showdown like The Night Stalker would've been great.

Yes!! I remember watching it as a kid. I also watched the Brady Bunch. So I can’t believe I mixed up Robert Reed and Forworth. Maybe I did at the beginning, but I couldn't have for the entire movie. Maybe it's another mandala effect?
