I vaguely remember a thread about this a while back. But not sure. Anyway, This post is to let those of you in the UK know that Virgin 1 has been showing this series at about 9pm on Sundays. AND this Sunday their chasing a werewolf For those that don't know the show, it's a documentary about a couple of blokes that go to various places around the world and look for the monsters that legend claims to be there. Bigfoot, Lake monsters, Yeti, etc etc.

Is this the same as Monster Qwest here in the US? I had posted awhile back that in the 1st season of Monster Qwest there is a interesting show on local werewolf legends here in the US, including Michigan and Wisconsin (The Beast of Brey Road). If it's not the same, you can catch Monster Qwest on The History Channel.

Why is "Monster Qwest" spelled with a "w"?

Ok, I've got the channel, tape is set. I'm not exactly holding my breath that they'll find a werewolf, what with them not being real and all, but hopefully it'll be interesting all the same.

Sorry Dedwyre! My K9 was doing the typing! He's trained in tracking narcotics, human scent, the letter "U" and sarcasm...he usually finds the last one I mentioned first. Hope you all enjoy Monsters Hunters!!!

Actually, since it had been spelled with a "w" in previous discussions, I thought it was seriously spelled that way. That's why I was curious.

I thought it was the right spelling, and just the program trying to be cool, rather the you typing a W instead of U by mistake.

I'd like to think that no documentary, even one based on cryptozoology, would sink to the 'spelling things wrong is cool' level.

Wasn't quite what I was expecting, but interesting.
I thought the guy that thought he could turn into a werewolf was hilarious, especially as you could see the investigator trying his hardest not to burst out laughing.

Just watched it. Was a bit surprised by how tongue in cheek it was, but I guess that's the only way to go for a show that tries to capture mythical animals on camera. Yeah, it was quite funny!
'You have a werewolf at this zoo? This is the greatest zoo ever!' 'I want this kid isolated in case he turns into a freakish werewolf!'

Hey! That sounds like "Destination Truth." At least, over here that's what it's called. With Josh Gates hosting, right?
Enjoy the show a lot, especially his reactions to some of the stories they get told.
But they've come across some freaky things, too, including voices recorded inside a sealed crematorium somewhere telling them to "get out" or something similar in the local language.

Here, judge for yourself: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nw_5C2GKKIYThis man thinks he can turn into a "Lobizon," which is the Argentinian version of the werewolf. Watch the host's reaction to this "transformation," and don't forget to listen all the way to the end.

Yeah, that part was great. Like that scene in Wolfen, except really lame.
