Let's keep our eye on the director and hope for some other werewolf film.

I've got a plot question with Dog Soldiers.
<<spoiler alert if you haven't seen it>>>
I've wondered if the female character was already 'infected' at the beginning, or does she accidentally infect herself by cutting her hand on a window that a shifted werewolf broke through? I've often thought there was a little bit of plot confusion regarding the female. (or at any rate there was for me.) Opinions anyone?

She was part of the family that lived in the house, and played as the bait that lured their "meal" into the house.

I'm pretty sure she was either infected or born into it from the get-go.

During the film she does mention she was part of the family, which indicates she'd been a werewolf for some time.
Not sure if I'd have said she was bait to lure people to the house. More likely she hated what she was, and was trying to find a way out of her predicament, which was why she saved the soldiers. Probably took them to the house as it was the only place she could think of that was nearby with walls.

I watched the ending just out of curiosity and found that we are both right. She helped her family out by bringing the soldiers to the house and keeping them there, but hated what she had to do for there survival.

Just thought I'd throw out that I just snagged the Blu-Ray for $5 at my local Kmart.

Yes Fright Rags is a bad ass site, been buying shirts from them for years. I Just bought that Dog Soldiers shirt and a Black Sabbath (I, Wurdalak) shirt in fact haha. Very friendly staff and pretty educated in horror.

They also have a range of werewolf t-shirts including a new She-wolf one: www.spiraldirect.com/.-SHE-WOLF_DW188600.htmI'm not keen tbh but they do have some other ones and they are starting to pick up that werewolf t-shirts are as popular as the vampires and dragons, etc
