I'm not talking about CGI here, although a computer software program like flash could've been implemented to aide in the production of the film or cartoon. So I was just wondering if anyone knew of any good werewolf movies, cartoons or comic books, even if there's just a werewolf appearence in it that was hand drawn. It can also include anime or manga. I think they did make a comic book adaptation of the wolfman didn't they? I'm not sure about that. When it comes to werewolves in cartoons, the Scooby doo and the reluctant werewolf, and Scooby doo and the ghoul school come to mind. Then there's Scooby doo on zombie island which have werecats on it. In manga and anime there is a short lived series called Wolf's reign, but they aren't really werewolves. More like, "wolfweres" as they are wolves that can take human form. In the manga there's two novels, and I need to sit down and read them. I think I read that there were werewolves in Vampire Hunter D, but I remember seeing the Vampire Hunter D movies and I never saw any werewolves. Anyone know of any good werewolves in animation or comics?

I think there is at least one in Vampire Hunter D but it's ages since i last saw it. I have to say i'm a huge animation fan and i love Scooby Doo and the Reluctant Werewolf as well as Scooby Doo and the Ghoul School. Gravedale High had a werewolf character.

There was a great vampire vs werewolf episode in The Real Ghostbusters cartoon. Can't remember the title though.

There are some werewolf comics available to read for free on wowio.com. Just search "werewolf" or "werewolves."
Meanwhile, there's a werewolf character named Wolfsbane who's appeared in secondary X-Men comics for quite a while now. I used to follow her closely, but not so much now. She was in X-Force last I checked. The 90s were her glory years when she was a member of X-Factor.
The only comic book I read regularly these days is Robert Kirkman's The Astounding Wolf-Man. It's about a super hero werewolf, and Kirkman is a very good comics writer (best known for his work on Invincible).
There've been a lot of werewolf characters in mainstream comics. Marvel Comics' Werewolf By Night has been popping up here and these since the 70s. Amazon has The Essential Werewolf By Night volumes one and two, which collects the titular character's first appearance through the comic's cancellation. He made a lot of guest appearances through the 80s and 90s and was revamped in the late 90s/early 00s in a much darker mini-series. In the last couple of years, he showed up in a short story in Legion of Monsters as well as during a flashback in Moon Knight. Last I saw, he was the focus of a four-part mini-series called Werewolf By Night: Dead of Night that looks to have completely retooled the character again. I haven't read it, though, so that's just speculation.

Vampire hunter D does have a werewolf in it, but it's not a big part of the movie. D is attacked when he's at the farm by a werewolf.
In the sequal there is another werewolf, though this one looks silly in that it's a hairy biped with it's wolf jaws actually sticking out of it's stomach.
Willow Creek by Denny Williams, Christian Beranek, Josh Medorsis is a new(ish) comic about a small american town that has a werewolf problem. Pretty good, though I've only read the first two comics in the series.
