I'd totally forgotten that i'd ordered this until it arrived yesterday. Don't know if anyone else owns a copy but it's written by Stephen Jones and he's written guides on Vampire and Frankenstein movies as well and i think one on the Hellraiser movies as well.
Anyway the book lists every movie featuring a were-creature that was film prior to the books release which i believe was in 1996 and also features articles on Lon Chaney, Paul Naschy, etc It's an interesting book in that it covers movies like AAWIL, the Howling series, etc as well as movies such as Cobra Woman and Wasp Woman and any other b-movie stuff like that!
It's well worth a look if you can find a copy.

Well Noel. All my other fave sites/lists are becoming their own books. Print out the database and send it to a publisher!
(or not...now my favorite sites/lists sound like the old "Time Life" commercials; "Hey, what about..?" "It's in the book.")

It's a great read. I was particularly interested in the feature they did on Paul Naschy because before i came on here i'd never heard of him and the feature was so good it's made me even more determined to get hold of his films.

Perhaps you may want to pinch the idea from it, of having bio's of the main werewolf stars on your website? Or we could just look them up on imdb

There was an article on Henry Hull who apparently played a werewolf before Lon Chaney Jnr did although i had never heard of him.

Yeah, Henry Hull was the fella in "Werewolf of London". He wasn't particularly good. Lon Chaney Jr owned his ass.

"Werewolf of London" is the one where the werewolf makes sure to put on his coat and hat before going out.

You got something against a werewolf with a little style??

I was slightly wrong on the article bit. It's not actually about Henry Hull, it was about the guy who did the make up.

You got something against a werewolf with a little style?? No, just of ones in a hat.

Haha yeah, the werewolf changing then grabbing his hat and coat on the way out made me laugh so much! I think Jack Pierce did the make up for Hull and Chaney, and Dracula, Frank's monster etc. I actually sort of prefer the Werewolf of London make up even if it is a bit understated.
