Yeah, they were featured on one of those alternate lifestyle documentaries a few years ago. Was interesting, but than most alternative lifestyles are interesting to learn about, though not necessarily something you'd want to live. But variety is always good, and hate to be in a world where we were all the same.
Just once in a film I'd love to see a hero vampire that is happy and cheerful, and feeding isn't an issue of guilt and regret for them. For once I'd like to see a vampire thats more Woohooo than boohooo.

I just saw the new "very special surprise" trailer-thingy on the VH1 movie Awards yesterday (you guys probably saw it like a month ago, but i live in freaking Denmark!)... anywho, i was so freakin' dissapointed in the werewolf design... all CGI!!! and not even good CGI in my opinion. and the "werewolf" looked like a stupid dog, not even a wolf. and the color of the fur was so neat and pretty i just wanted to throw up.. the werewolves in new moon could probably win 1st. prize at some fancy dog exhibition. SUCKS!....... so now i am pulling hair out of my testicles in an angry protest!....
ofcourse i'm gonna see the movie.. but i'm still angry

For once I'd like to see a vampire thats more Woohooo than boohooo. It's not a film but Henry Fitzroy in the short lived Canadian tv series Blood Ties was pretty much that. He seemed to enjoy being a vampire and feeding on sexy ladies. www.bloodtiestv.com/character-detail?item=13

Twilight is showing on Sky Premier this week so i thought i would give it a go. I'd never really been interested and to be honest i was gonna leave New Moon until it premiered on Sky but this movie actually wasn't as bad as i'd feared. It was quite enjoyable and although aimed at a teenage girl's market it wasn't the complete slushed i'd feared. I dare say i may now go the movies and see New Moon but only once all the screaming girls have seen it.

So, New Moon has taken the record for biggest ever opening day gross at the US boxoffice with $72 million on Friday beating previous record holder The Dark Knight's $68 million. Never ever underestimate the power of tween girls and their mums. lol
It may be a soggy teen romance but it's also a werewolf centric film so will have to be seen at some point.

No kidding. My friend at work's daughters won tickets to the premiere in London. They'd never seen so many screaming and hysterical girls. And Robert Pattinson wasn't even there! Since the first film wasn't as bad as i'd feared i will be heading to see New Moon. And since the next movie Eclipse will have the Cullens and werewolves teaming up to fight a gang of newly turned vampires i will be seeing that one as well. Still deciding whether or not to read the books before i finish watching the films....

I'll pick it up on DVD, seeing as I bought the first one.
The first film wasn't that bad, apart from one or two silly things, so hopefully this one will be ok too.

If you liked the first movie, I would recommend not reading the book until after seeing the rest of the movies. Granted, I've neither seen the movies nor read the books, but it's been my experience that I'm more likely to dislike a film if I've read the book first. That's why I'm now making sure to see all the Harry Potter films before reading the books.
An acquaintance of mine went with a bunch of guy friends (I guess on a dare or something) to the New Moon midnight showing. He spent the whole time making all of the 14-year-old girls angry at him by yelling things like, "CUT YOUR HAIR AND TAKE YOUR SHIRT OFF ALREADY!"

He was lucky not to be lynched by all those young girls! Your right tho, the movies are never as good as the books. I think i'll wait till i've seen all the movies and then read the books.

I find it very difficult to read the book once I see a film of it. I've no problem the other way round, reading a book than seeing the film. Don't know why.

You don' t want to read the books, trust me. Movies suck very much, but at least they were made by pros. On the other hand, books were written by untallented woman, who was channeling her sexual frustrations through the books. They' re about NOTHING, but silly Bellas emotions. In the end of every part there is some nonsense fight, just because authoress thought it would fit. And that' s it. The language is damn straight as a stick and simple as 10-years old girl essay, characters are so flat, and their actions inconsistent: for instance, Jacob is very gently for Bella, and few pages further he forces her to kiss him, almost rape her, elsewhere she calls him smelly dog, but just before that she calls him her best friend, and so on, from one ridiculous moment to another - just like authoress forget what she was writting yesterday. Dialogues are so stupid, pathetic and unnatural, that it can' t be described (- I love you very much... - I love you very much too - again and again through next pages, until you get sick of that). There is "mary sue" effect in it' s pure form (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary_Sue), besides that, it' s SO BORING, that normal intelligent and adult person just CAN' T enjoy it.
So you can watch those simple movies, but avoid books as hellfire.

Well...I finally broke down and watched all three of the movies. I had low expectations watching Twilight, but I actually liked it. Go figure. It wasn't that bad. I enjoyed the mythos behind the werewolves being of Native American origin. The vampires weren't too bad...I actually liked Edward's personality. But I had a few complaints. I mean, I don't think vampires should sparkle. It would've been more fitting if Edward were some kind of biological experiment that resulted in a need for blood or even some kind of alien. He seemed more like a super hero than a vampire.

Twilight sucks. Sorry if anyone likes it but I personally cannot stand it. Down with the false wolves. Purely a waste of time and ruining our good image.

I must agree, it seems like every time i bring up werewolf movies and vampire movies to the "average" viewer twilight comes up. It seems like its giving horror a bad name.
