www.mtv.com/shows/teen_wolf/series.jhtmlLet me go on record as saying I like the concept of the werewolf makeup. I'm all for a more subtle approach to werewolf design, and this is a very stylized Henry Hull type design. However I foresee the main character being an irritating little bastard who I'll wished had died in the werewolf attack. That and the whole tween drama will likely ruin whatever promise the show had. Still, at least they didn't go with a full wolf approach, and we're supposed to get multiple species of werewolf.

Which looks worse, the CGI or the acting? The werewolf look has potential, I agree.

There seems to be very little CGI, but what we see of it makes Siffy channel original movies look God Damn breath taking.
Still, from what we've seen the acting looks much worse.

God! More teen angst! So how long do we think it will be before a vampire turns up in town?

Ugh I hope not. Especially one of those sparkly vamps. The look's not bad. I'm curious to see the other werewolf stages that they said will be in this show. We haven't seen them yet, so don't know if that's a good thing or a bad one. The acting, however, looks flat out terrible.

Trailer I watched on youtube didn't look that bad - apart form the La'cross game (sp).
Must admit I'm not very good at judging if acting is good or bad, unless it's very bad.
Looks like it isn't going to be a comedy, and hopefully they'll be some gore.
I agree, that it'd be nice if they moved away form the teen angst in films in general. Alas the film companies have discovered 13 year old girls as paying customers, so I'm guessing we'll be seeing a lot more angst floating around.
Where's Jason with his machette when you need him. He always knew how to deel with teen angst! Chop Chop!

I think I could deal with the teenage monster angst Trope if it wasn't all so cookie cutter and by the numbers. Most of it is pretentious crap in love with its own dull, irritating hero no different from the legions of paranormal romance books attempting to be "unique" and "quirky".

The main problem I've found with approaches like this to werewolves is that it treats them exactly the same as vampires: as edgy, mysterious outcasts that people just can't understand, full of angst and tragic hipness. It sure would be flippin' great if for once they remembered that werewolves are savage monsters. They rip people to shreds and eat them.
Granted, all of the above complaints are withdrawn for this series if it has even one episode where the main character's Angst Du Jour is trying to tell his love interest he chowed down on her best friend.

Lol, not going to happen. That might actually bring depth to the character and provide the show with some moral ambiguity. And this is a teen paranormal romance series. On MTV.

Problem is... there is a clip on MTV's website of Scott, the main charater, attacking his love interest. I think it's more he doesn't want to be a werewolf but he can't control the animal, than it is, "but i'm a good werewolf." Not to mention, his lycanthropy starts when he goes to find "the other half of the corpse in the woods." Is it going to be the next Dog Soldiers? No, I don't think so. But it's on MTV, so we're luck It's not a reality show about kids that want to be vampires so they all move to the same house, in a winnebago, up on a hill on the jersey shore, on their sweet sixteenth and pregnant birthday. Hell, I may even watch an episode.

Its about American teenagers coping with their affliction.............Im willing to put my money on it being total wolfshit..... It is so blantantly aimed at the "Twilight" crowd & after that horrific foray into werewolf mythology I'd rather dip my plums in honey & sit on an ants nest that watch anymore teenage angst-ridden crap about a hunk who cant quite fit in & a girl who falls for his mystery all wrapped up this time in wolfs clothing..........
