In the wee hours of April 15, visible from North America. Another total in October and two more next year. Most lunar eclipses are not total, so four of them in a row being total is a rarity. Lunar eclipses can only happen when the moon is full. What happens to a werewolf during a total lunar eclipse? What kind of story might have had Navarre and Isabeau seeking a lunar eclipse to break the curse, I wonder?

Well, in SHE WOLF OF LONDON it kept Randi from actually transforming, but she became increasingly erratic as the werewolf side tried to come out.

In Full Eclipse didn't it make the werewolf immune to silver or something? Been a long time since I watched that film.

You know, if I was superstious, I'd be seeing a lot of portants and signs.
Last year we had a superfullmoon at the summer solstice, than at new years day, and a lunar eclipse mentioned here.
All we need now is a blue moon to happen on a significant date, and people had better start stocking up on supplies for the end of the world via werewolf plague.

There was a blue moon on August 20 2013. This was the next second full moon after the summer solstice supermoon. The New Years supermoon was a new moon. Maybe there will be a werewolf / anti-werewolf apocalypse.

So, we'd all better stock up on doggy treats!

As noted above, a total eclipse of the moon will take place on April 15. It will be visible from New York City where a great many Passover seders will be taking place during the full moon. There will be another eclipse on Sukkot in October and again next year on both Passover and Sukkot. What does it mean?
Which raises the question, what is it like being a Jewish werewolf? Do you have to kill your victims according to Kosher law? Perhaps you can get a vampire to help out by draining the blood. I know there is a prayer for first seeing the New Moon. Do Jewish werewolves have one for first seeing the Full Moon?

No, you don't have to kill your victims using Kosher Law, but if you don't, than you cannot swallow Yes, there's a prayer, it's called "Howling is thy name".

Transformation in progress? BTW I rode the train with Orthodox Jews every day for many years. Nicest people you ever want to meet. So are Sikhs. Something to do with facial hair?

Don't know about you, but shaving for me was always uncomfortable, itchy, and razor burn. Which was never a good way to start a day, and always made me start off irritated and unhappy.
So, yes, beards are a contributing factor to them being nice, as I also have a beard (strokes goatee) and have found using a hair trimmer is way more comfortable than using a razor.
My theory and I'm sticking to it regardless of any evidence invalidating or contradicting it!

I have a mustache myself. I am only nice sometimes.
On a different note...
I managed to screw up my finger and got it really infected. I am taking antibiotics and noticed that the pills are marked Lupin! And the pills will run out on April 14. That night is a full moon and an eclipse!!! There is a good chance that I will be very nice that night.
