Well, I started to watch Shark Huntress on Amazon Prime, because I've been curious about it since seeing the DVD at Walmart. With a title like that I had to check it out but I wasn't sure I wanted to pay $10 or whatever for the privilege.
As it turned out, I also didn't want to spend more than half-an-hour trying it out before bailing.
So I ended up watching:
Another WolfCop (2017)
Everyone's favorite Canadian alcoholic, lycanthropic officer of the law goes up against an evil businessman played by Yannick Bisson, taking a break from his time as the much, much more straitlaced Detective William Murdoch of Murdoch's Mysteries.
Fun movie, full of the same sort of crassness and gore that made the original a beloved family classic.

Grave Encounters (2011) Grave Encounters 2 (2012) Found-footage isn't really my thing but I did like these. And of course, Howl and Bad Moon both rock.

Halloween Kills (2021)
It looks like you can watch it with the $4.99 subscription to NBC's Peacock app, but I went ahead and splurged for the $9.99 version to make sure there were no ads during it.
Picks up right from the end of 2018's Halloween, with Michael walking out of Laurie's burning house and into the Haddonfield night. Only by now, the people know who is stalking their streets and they're ready to take the fight to him.
Didn't work for me.

Quarantine 2: Terminal (2011)
Dead Set (2008)
Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956)
Halloween (2018)
Halloween Kills (2021)
This was a mixed bag for me. Michael was relentless, brutal and the body count was high.
Liked the flashback to H78 and tribute to Dr. Loomis.
With that said, the STUPID was strong with the Haddonfield folks.
The angry mob scenes were cringeworthy. How TF nobody can effectively handle firearms, except Laurie?
The First Purge (2018)
The Purge (2013)
The Purge: Anarchy (2014)
The Purge: Election Year (2016)
The Forever Purge (2021)
Blood Creek (2009)

I think it definitely suffered from being the 'middle chapter' so it seemed like there was a lot of wheel-spinning so they could get to the next movie. Recognized that Hawkins's partner in the flashback was Jim Cummings, the writer/director/star of The Wolf of Snow Hollow, so that was cool. I actually have that Blu-ray headed towards me now thanks to Target's recent "Buy two, get one" deal. Meanwhile, I also watched the first four episodes of Amazon Prime's I Know What You Did Last Summer and liked it. I'll keep watching as they come out.

Worked again this Saturday, but at least we got out two hours early.
I vegged and binged some movies today since I can't depend on being off any next weekend.
Halloween (1978)
Halloween II (1981)
Halloween H20: 20 Years Later (1998)
My personal Halloween continuity. And no, I'm not letting Resurrection anywhere near it.
Mainly, I had to wash Halloween Kills out of my brain.

I've given up on getting out of the overtime/six-days-a-week schedule anytime soon.
And I had to replace my TV.
Still, it's Halloween and I managed to squeeze in a traditional favorite and a new release:
Trick or Treat (1986)
What can I say? SAMMI CURR LIVES!! \m/ \m/
Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin (2021)
From IMDb: "Margot, a young woman abandoned by her mother as baby, travels to a secluded Amish community with a documentary film crew seeking answers about her mother and extended family."
Figured I need to keep using Paramount+ since I'm paying for it and everything.
Not being a found-footage fan I'm not familiar with the franchise. I mean, I know it exists, but I've never seen one. As such, I don't know if they slipped a connection to any of the others in here, but I get the impression it's meant to be its own thing.
It was okay, I guess. Doesn't really change my general opinion on the genre but I didn't nod off to sleep either, which is a feat these days especially since it was past my regular, stupidly early, bedtime.
