Um...yeah...going to pretty much miss out on Friday the 13th, Halloween, basically the whole month of October thanks to work...
Finished off the Jurassic Blu-rays...
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018) Jurassic World Dominion (2022)
And since I wasn't done with watching prehistoric animals chomp on people:
The Meg (2018) The Meg 2: The Trench (2023)
I do kind of wish I'd made the out-of-town trip to watch the 2nd on the big screen in 3D. I heard it was good that way and there were definitely shots that seemed to have 3D in mind. As it is, I just caught it streaming on Max. The first one, I pulled out the 3D Blu to refresh the story (such as it is) in my head.
The Devil's Stomping Ground (2022)
Based on a home-state legend so of course I had to watch this low-budget found-footage effort. Maybe because I'm biased toward "local" stuff but I didn't hate it as much as I do most found-footage. There's also a "Devil's Tramping Ground" (which is the actual name of the place) which I still need to watch. On Amazon Prime, Tubi, and some others.
Totally Killer (2023)
Amazon Prime's "Back to the Future as a slasher movie" film with Kiernan Shipka (Sabrina from "The Chilling Adventures of..." fame) going back to the 80s to stop a serial killer before he pops up in the present day and murders her mom. Pretty fun.
The Boogeyman (2023)
Nicely done horror on Hulu, based on a Stephen King story I know I've probably read but don't remember so I wasn't worried about if they did it "right" or not, I just enjoyed it.
And, Mike Flanagan's The Fall of the House of Usher is now on Netflix so I hope to get it watched by Halloween.

This looks really good, will be watching it this Spooky Season. Prophecy (1979) Howling IV: The Original Nightmare (1988) Deadly Blessing (1981) When Michael Calls (1972) Friday the 13th Uncut (1980) Friday the 13th : The Final Chapter (1984) Fear City (1984) Dracula A.D. 1972 The Norliss Tapes (1973) Fender Bender (2016) Night of Dark Shadows (1971) The Town that Dreaded Sundown (1976) Burnt Offerings (1976)

Friday the 13th Part 3 in 3D (1982)
Had to sneak in at least one, overtime or not
Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey (2023)
Pretty much what you'd expect (unless you were that one grade-school class, apparently). Streaming on Peacock
The Last Voyage of the Demeter (2023)
Fun enough little monster movie version of Dracula's trip to England. A friend from work gave me the digital code
Texas Chainsaw 3D (2013)
Have to admit the TCM series has never been my favorite but hey...you know me and 3D. I read that studio interference kept it from being set in the 90s instead of the 2010s so you just have to accept characters being around 20 years younger than they should have been.
Cobweb (2023)
Starring the same kid who has a role in The Last Voyage of the Demeter. He discovers a dark secret lurking in the walls of his house. Things get bloody. I enjoyed it. Streaming on Hulu
Slotherhouse (2023)
Another "what it says on the tin" movie about a killer sloth in a sorority house. Fun for what it was. Streaming on Hulu

Cave of Forgotten Dreams (2010)
Werner Herzog documentary about a cave in France with the oldest artwork known to exist. I swear, these cave-folk from 30,000 years ago drew better than I ever will. Not the stick-figure stuff you'd expect. And the Blu-ray was 3D which is largely how I ended up with it. Made me want to put in The Descent as a follow-up.
Cold Prey (2006)
Director Roar Uthaug (of last year's fun Troll on Netflix, as well as the Alicia Vikander Tomb Raider) does a snowbound slasher as five friends on a snowboarding adventure take refuge in an abandoned (Ha!!) hotel after one of them breaks a leg. Streamed thru the Roku Channel.
Five Nights at Freddy's (2023)
Okay...full disclosure I watched it right after work and dinner on Friday so I kind-of nodded off in the middle for a bit but it was interesting enough I plan on trying again. Seemed in line with something like Are You Afraid of the Dark? but I'm okay with that.
Halloween 4 (1988) Halloween 5 (1989) Halloween 6 (1995)
Well, I'm still trying not to do a ton of repeat viewings so I opted for these instead of the original classic. Hadn't seen them...probably since they came out, except for 6 which I don't think I ever saw. Popped in the Producer's Cut Blu-ray of that one because I saw an article saying it was better so now I wonder just how bad the original version is. I'd feel sorry for Jaime Lloyd being removed from continuity but after 6 I think they did her a favor. Still much prefer the F13th movies as a franchise.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

The sequel is quite good as well, picks right up where the previous films ended.

Still working crazy overtime. Seems like I might miss this October completely if things don't calm down soon.
I snuck in one, tho...
'Salem's Lot (2024)
The new one is on Max. I appreciate that they stuck with a 1970s setting, but trying to put it into a two-hour movie just seemed to make the first half choppy as they jumped from scene to scene to get the characters introduced and in place for the finale.
Also should mention that on the last episode of the current season of Expedition X, they went looking for the Michigan Dogman.

The Exorcist (1973)
The Village (2004)
Dracula (1979)
Salem's Lot (2024)
I loved Mark Petrie in this adaptation, he was the standout.
This was rushed or a lot of footage was cut.
My nickname for it is The Cliff Notes Edition.
Barlow looked like Marilyn Manson, No Maam!
Overall decent but could've been better.
JCs Vampires (1998)
Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982)
Halloween (1978)
Halloween II (1981)
Halloween H20: 20 Years Later (1998)

Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers (1988)
Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers (1989)
Halloween Resurrection (2002)
V/H/S/ Beyond (2024)
An overall disappointment.
The first two still remain the best of this Foubd Footage Franchise.
