Ah yes another Big Bad Wolf fan, I thought I was the only one. A lot of people dont like it because of the cheesyness.

Aye I quite enjoyed it, and I'm not ashamed to admit it! Okay, I'm a little ashamed.

It wasn't the cheesyness that the put me off. It was the rape scene at the beginning..... Still makes me shudder!

Over on IMDB, the actor that played the kid in big bad wolf posted a few replies to some of the conversation threads - one of which was about a possible sequal. Though with the amount of time that's passed, I'm guessing their won't be one now.

I reckon there's as much chance of a sequel to this as there is too Dog Soldiers!

Actually I'm crossing my fingers that wolfman and the howling remake do really well, and it sparks these executives to go back and decided to do a sequal to dog soldiers.
Doubt they'd be able to use their original idea for the sequal now, but it'd not be that difficult to work out a plot that takes into account the passage of time since the film was done.

Usually remakes don't cut it for me. I was impressed by The Wolfman remake. If The Howling is done right, it could be bad ass. Dog Soldiers 2 needs to be done. I am sure you all have seen this: www.horror-movies.ca/horror_6090.htmlBig Bad Wolf 2 would make my black heart happy again! Ha Ha

My top 5 are as follows:
1: American Werewolf In London
2: The Wolfman 2010
3: Curse of The Werewolf
4: The Howling
5: Silver Bullet
Going on nostalgia alone The Howling would have been my number 2 choice but i recently re-watched it many many years after I first watched it and unlike American Werewolf, it does not stand the test of time well.
My number 2 choice might not be to everyones taste, but I simply cant help but love this film. Although its a bit rough round the edges I believe it captures the mood and look of all the classics. I also think that it has brought the werewolf, along with twilight and harry potter to sum extent, back into mainstream movies and that can only be a good thing.

I agree with you regarding The Howling, it's not aged anywhere near as well as An American Werewolf in London.
Your probably right in that most fans might not have The Wolf Man 2010 so high in their list but i loved the gothic majesty and it was nice to see a werewolf take centre stage in something other than a teen romance!
