great. it looks very organized. I still think the green on black is great...Is it possible to see a preview using this design, but with green on black?

Oh, but green on black is SO 2006 ...
I could probably put together some manner of greeny-blacky preview. But I am quite stoked about the idea of incorporating silver and blueness and blue moons into the new design. I do agree that the original look was probably more distinctive and interesting, but this one seems to have more to do with werewolves. If I ever do alien-movies.com then I'd definitely go with the green on black again.
To green or not to green, that is question ...

Here's a sneaky peek at the advanced query form, to give you some idea what I was blathering on about. Are there any criteria that I've missed that you might like to filter the database by? NOTE: Searching for specific names and titles will be done in the search box over on the left, this is strictly just for filtering the database.

I haven't changed too much in the way of layout. Here's some screencaps of the review of SOMEBODY's favourite movie to illustrate: quote] Is someone on here a fan of Paul Naschy movies? Are you sure Noel cos it doesn't sound like anyone i know? What about you Hawkeye? Can you think of anyone

Hawkeye is a Naschy fan? I just thought he looked a lot like him.
The site is pretty much all functioning now except for a few little bugs that I should fix over the next couple of days. The current site will remain in place until I've input the entire database into the new site, then I'll do the ol' switcharoo. Shouldn't be too long now. Exciting!

I like your website a lot. tons of information about werewolf films many of which I've not seen mentioned elsewhere I've looked.
I am pleased your not doing the dark green text on the black background in the new design, as I have to highlight the text I want to read currently- if I don't the text is almost invisible on my monitor. - like it is on this forum.
By the looks of your screen shots your going for white text on black, which is an improvement, though you may want to think about increasing the font size for that, as small white text on dark backgrounds can also be difficult to read on a monitor.
In my own web-designs I've found that a font size of 10 is fine when it's black on white, but that I need to have it more like 12 or 12(bold) for it to be easily read when it's white on black.
Also is there a reason you've started the navigation partway down the screen rather than having it running from the top?
If it's due to framing, you may want to think about adding a picture or something to fill that gap. If your open to suggetions, maybe move the moon to the topleft, and then have a stalking wolf to the right of the site name may look nice. Or, even stalking over the top of the letters of the sight name.

Cool, I'll have to think about increasing the font size on the new site. I can read it fine but I guess maybe not everyone will be able to (although it does sound like there might be a problem with your monitor if it's so dark that you can't read the text on this forum ... I had a similar problem on my old PC and fixed it by installing new drivers).
I started the navigation part way down the screen because it made aesthetic sense to me ... I was a bit unsure about the empty space at first but I grew to like the 'spaciness' of the new site. Although the wolf thing is a cool idea. I'll have a play around with it at some point.
Thanks for your comments!

The switcharoo is underway ... as is redesigning this forum. Fun.
The movie database is all there, still need to add the TV database and Upcoming database. Shouldn't take long.

The upcoming database is up, except for "The Valley of Uncertainty". Not sure if I should keep that or not. Any thoughts?
On to the TV database!
