God why, oh why do they keep making Saw movies??? The first was fairly original but the rest? The simple answer is coz they are popular, cheap to make and make loads of cash. Sorry, but I do quite like the Saw movies The first is by far the best, but I like the basic concept and the nasty games he plays in the whole series. They are dark, brutal and twisted and they're not just regular slasher films as Jigsaw is smart and bitter and is trying to make a point in what he does. I think the films have (so far) had quite a fun, logical progression. I also really like Tobin Bell as an actor (he's been around for years in stuff) and think he's been excellent as Jigsaw and helped raise the franchise above the normal lame horror dross that comes out of Hollywood. As long as they keep making them as nasty and twisted as they have, I'll keep going to see them. Um, does that say something about the state of my mind perhaps? They're okay, a but too twisted for my liking. I can't bare the begging and pleading.
Tobin Bell is good in them but i can't say as i've seen him in anything else.

I love it when they beg and plead, but I'm just a sick puppy Tobin Bell has been around for years in supporting roles with loads of TV and usually as heavies. He was in a season 7 episode of The X Files I watched recently all about a dodgy tobacco company. I also remember him as a heavy in The Firm with Tom Cruise.

I love it when they beg and plead, but I'm just a sick puppy That's good to know! I know the girl who star as, is it Amanda? The one Jigsaw takes under his wing was in the tv show Becker with Ted Danson. She played a ditzy doctors receptionist. They show it on Paramount Comedy and i watch it from time to time. It's not half bad!

I remember her from back in the 80's in Iron Eagle with Lou Gossett and Jason Gedrick and the remake of The Blob with Kevin Dillon. I'm sooooo old and full of useless info

Statler and Waldorf are excellent hecklers. I bet they went to Heckler school, and got degrees in Heckleology from the university of Heckleton.
IMDB's great for finding other films your fav actors, actresses, directors, writters have done. I use it fairly often.
Iron Eagle is a nice film. Wasn't overly keen on the sequal, but thought the original was a nice sunday afternoon entertainment film. Very dated though.

Very dated! I thought that lad was sooooo coooool when i was young. Even made me wanna join air force when i got older. However as a trial run i joined the air cadets when i was 13 and soon released that i couldn't put up with their bullshit and hated taking orders so perhaps a military career was not for me!

I tried the army cadets. I lasted 1 visit and never went back. Could take people trying to order me about by shouting at me. It just made me want to pull faces at them.

Rob Zombie did this because he wasn't asked to remake TCM.
The one he really wanted to do.
So he shat all over Halloween.
JMO.

The Michael Myers backstory should not have been explained. It should have been a mystery, just like how the heck he knew how to drive a car after being institutionalized since childhood. As Doctor Loomis (the terrific Donald Pleasance) put it in the original, he was the boogeyman.

RZ turned him into a roided up serial killer.
Completely stripped the Supernatural element, Michael was no longer The Shape, Boogeyman.
Or
Evil on two legs.
