Am I right here?
Television shows in the US are more brutal and censored in Europe and vice a versa with movies being more brutal in Europe and cut in the States?

I can only speak for the Netherlands ofcourse, but as far as I'm aware virtually nothing get's cencored. I've seen plenty if disgusting gore in 'CSI New York' episodes, full nudity in Hollywood films and marathon's of 'Jackass'. Plus Gordon Ramsey and Ozzy Osbourne saying the F-word...unbleeped! ;D

In last few years it does seem that HBO has done some series with stronger content than I normally see coming out of the US. Things like Rome, Deadwood, and Sparticus.

Half way through the second season and i have very mixed feelings about it, i hadn't realized it was a drama till two episodes ago, lol. not that i dislike it, it make me sad and i am a little put off by a weak lycan, i prefer them portrayed as a bad ass that no one messes with.
Maybe that is what the American version will be like.

Ok maybe I was wrong. But I know that US films are never the same when it comes to horror classics.

I don't watch a lot of horror films on TV, I'd rather watch them on disc, but I can't imagine there being any cuts.

I dont think it matters where you are, TV butchers horror movies to no end it makes me sick sometime. They cut out entire scenes just for the sake of making it a little shorter so they can air another butchered movie right behind. There are a few channels that dont do that but i just stay away from tv when it comes to horror.

All I have to say is Horror is the only genre that has dedicated followers and we take pride in our collections of films and love to talk about them.
