I don't think anyone is unaware that Being Human is a remake of a British series. And at least two of those UK shows (Skins and The Office) were just as bad as the US remakes. Especially Skins.
God save them from me if they touch Doctor Who though. Or Spaced for that matter.

If they touch Spaced I'll hurt them so hard their ANCESTORS will feel it.

God save them from me if they touch Doctor Who though. Matt Smith is quite popular in a culty sort of way outside of the UK right now, If i am to believe the internet articles, so a new US series would have to rival the BBC version. I think the suits from the states are smart enough to let the Doctor go. And if they do make a US reboot, they'd beter make him as British as possible!

Must make/find Doctor Who thread.
Anyway, it looks like both versions of Being Human are returning for another season. I am pleased.

Will be interesting to see what they do in the next seies in the British version, considering what happened at the end of the last season.

McNair was badass, and was quickly becoming my favorite character on the show. Pity he got killed off.

Good to know Robson Green nailed the character. I really wasn't sure he'd manage when i first he'd been cast

McNair's backstory was one I liked. Though I don't know if other people feel this, but the last season, to me, felt like it was starting to move away from the orginal concept and into a more . . . what's the word . . . core? mainstream? typical? expected? . . . type of stories.
Now, the show must evolve and develop, of course, but I'd have liked to have seen a few episodes that dealt with them trying to live around humans - like they did in the first season - where their supernatural nature got in the way of day to day life. I mean you don't even see any neighbours in season 3 at all, no one complaining about noise or being nosey at the new people or why they've bought a guesthouse and don't seem to have any guests. It just seems they've stepped the series out of real life and into TV Land, if you know what I mean.
Now, don't get me wrong. Season 3 was great. I loved the police enquiry, the fightclub, Herrick, the werewolves, and all the rest. I just want to see them having to deal with some 'living as human' troubles too.
Hmm, all that may have come across stronger than I intended.

I hear what your saying Marcus............My worry is that series 4 gets influenced into going more "mainstream" instead of sticking to the original quirkiness that made it so great in the first place. After watching series 3 again though I'm glad to see some of the great humour is back as in the first series.........Look out for "You , Me & Count Dupree....!!"........Really made me chuckle.

So I just did a marathon of Series 1. Somehow, don't ask me how, I'd forgotten how incredibly bleak it was. It doesn't let the grin leave your face before it rips your chest open and starts stomping on your heart with cleats.

For clarification: this is a good thing. I like bleak horror.
