Finally got around to watching this and was totally blown away. It was ace! The actors were spot on with their performaces and they so left it open to be made into a series. George's transformation scene was suitably brutal, i though David N had suffered in AAWIL but this guy really made me feel for him. It's one of the few times i thought "thank god that doesn't happen to me!"
I wasn't overly keen on the plot involving the other vampires (why do they always want to rule the world?) and was slightly disapointed that Mitchell didn't stake that incredibly annoying bitch at the end but other than that it was brilliant.
I really hope they go somewhere with it. I would like to know how Anna died and how Mitchell and George became their respective monsters and met.

As I think was mentioned earlier, this was one of a set of pilots that was supposed to be shown, then the one that got the most interest be turned into a series.
Unfortately, from what I've read, they scrapped that idea and instead just made that Phoo Attack (or whatever the silly series is called). So unless a lot of people pester the makers of this pilot, and the production company, I doubt it'll be made into a series on it's own.

"Phoo Attack"? This show is losing to a show with the word "Phoo" in the title? What are you people watching over there?

Phoo attack? I think i saw a trailer for that but i thought it was some kind of joke promo, like the ones they show on paramount comedy sometimes. Apparently it's based on a comic strip by Jamie Hewlett called "Get the Freebies" ? It follows the exploits of a buddhist Kung-fu law enforcer named Terry Phoo and a fiesty teen rebel turned superhero Whitey Action who take on Britain's super famous mutated criminals the Freebies. Words fail me as to why this would get picked up instead of Being Human. Televisions executives have finally lost the plot.

Super-famous mutated criminals?
"Whitey Action"?
Okay, this is starting to sound moderately entertaining...

Not watched it Phoo action, but seen some clips. It looks like a very very childish animi that's been turned into live action for an adult/teen audiance in a really bad way. - Just the clips scared me - the kind of fear you get when giant pink fluffy bunnies chase you down the street in your nightmares . . . or is that just me?
The others in the list of 6 pilots were:
West 10 LDN A collection of tower blocks and concrete expanse, it has its own rules and codes, its own distinctive languages and culture, both old and new. It is a tightly knit community that is on call to protect those within its boundaries. It is an intense, turbulent, passionate world, rarely depicted other than when the antagonisms and struggles of its young lives spill out onto the surrounding streets and into the news. West 10 LDN invites us into this territory, and delves into the big stories of the lives of the young, multi ethnic generation who live there - with a blast of energy and power, with dynamism, wit and blistering vibrancy.
The Things I Haven't Told You Six Teenagers. A Million Problems. One Mystery. A dark thriller set in a sixth form of a school where every student has a dark secret and a twisted life. The story follows events after a girl's disappearanceand an inquisitive light is shone onto her friends' movements
Mrs In-Betweeny Follows siblings whose parents are estranged from each other and are not around to care for their children. The only option is for their long lost uncle from the USA to bring them up. But when he arrives, he's no longer an uncle – he's now their pre-op transsexual aunt Emma (the part will be cast as a woman).
Dis/connected Follows the complicated lives of a group of disconnected teenagers from very different backgrounds who are thrown together after the suicide of a mutual friend, Jenny Summers. This life-changing experience bonds them all and forces them to examine who they really are. (This one may have been pulled completely due to the suicides that happened in Wales at around the time this was supposed to be aired.)

Mrs In-Betweeney got some good press coverage but i still can't believe they picked Phoo Action. It looked one of those bad japanese adverts.

...All I can think of is "Whitey Action."
And that one about suicide sounds more like a movie than a TV series.
