Yes, I own them all!!! They're so funny In order the books are: The Colour of Magic The Light Fantastic Equal Rites Mort Sourcery Wyrd Sisters Pyramids Guards! Guards! Eric Moving Pictures Reaper Man Witches Abroad Small Gods Lords and Ladies Men at Arms Soul Music Interesting Times Maskerade Feet of Clay Hogfather Jingo The Last Continent Carpe Jugulum The Fifth Elephant The Truth The Last Hero Thief of Time Night Watch Monstrous Regiment Going Postal Thud! Making Money Then you have his disc books aimed at children (just because the main character is a kid) Amazing Maurice and His Educated Rodents (ok main character is a cat but that's close) The Wee Free Men (pixies with attitude! and drink!! - they got kicked out of fairyland) A Hat Full of Sky Wintersmith None disc books (but still comedies) that he's written include: The Carpet People (about the people that live in your carpet) The Dark Side of the Sun (sci-fi - fun read) Strata (sci-fi - what if the disc was artificial) The Unadulterated Cat (this one is hard to get, the only one I don't have ) Good Omens (what if the antichrist grows up in a normal home - one of his best books!)

Oh, Good Omens is co-written by Neil Gaiman. And, at one point it was inline to be made into a film (a lot of fans are still hoping). I think it's very funny.
Maurice and his educated rodents is what happens when a bunch of intelligent rats (curtise of the Unseen University) team up with a smart cat and a "kid" that plays a flute to fake small towns into believing their've got a plague of rats and the kid is a paid piper. (I really hope he does a sequal with Maurice as maybe being "puss in boots" with another dumb kid as his victim . . er . . sidekick.
Those are too of my favourite books to be honest.

Very hard to pick a favourite, as most are very good. Only two I wasn't overly keen on which was equal rites and moving pictures. Though been a long time since I read equal rites so I think I'll give it another go when I've finished reading my latest batch of books.
As he progressed with the books, he created several story arcs dealing with recuring main characters. These were Death, Witches, Guards, Rincewind, and apart from a few, most link into one of these archs. For example the Guards books are:
Guards! Guards! The nightwatch is a joke, until they get their first ever volunteer, a 7ft dwarf!
Men at Arms The nightwatch has to accept minority members, a dwarf, a troll, and a . . . wait for it . . .wait for it . . . a . . . a . . . werewolf!!!!!
Feet of Clay Birth of forensic science, and dwarves in makeup!
Jingo When the sea burps an Island into the circle sea and everyone wants it
The Fifth Elephant A trip to Uberwauld where werewolves and vampires rule, and the dwarfs dig fat from the famous fat mines.
Thud! Celebrations in the city of the war between dwarf and troll, by dwarves and trolls!
Rincewinds books are:
The Colour of Magic The Light Fantastic Sourcery Eric
Interesting Times Rincewind wishes for boring times, and the silver horde plans to steal the most precious thing in the counterweight continent
The Last Continent It may look like australia, sound like australia, act like australia, but it isn't it's XXXX
The Last Hero The first hero brought fire from the gods, Cohen plans on giving it back with interest!
The Witches books are:
Equal Rites
Wyrd Sisters Macbeth if the witches were in charge
Witches Abroad They go on holiday, and visit Grannies evil sister. They never got on as granny wanted to be the evil one!
Lords and Ladies When they get back from the holiday, and find that Elves are running round Lancre.
Maskerade Phantom of the opera, with nanny oggs special cook book for adults.
Carpe Jugulum Vampires are invited to lancre, vampires that spell it Vampyre and think it's cool.
(if I get time I'll do a synopse of the rest too later)

My personal favourites are Mort, Pyramids and Men at Arms. The Fifth Elephant has the most werewolfy action, and Soul Music and Moving Pictures have the most pop culture references. Depends on what you like...

Well i haven't got much to go on at the moment. I did enjoy Mort because Death had me laughing out loud. I look forward to reading more with him as the main character. I wasn't overly keen on Equal Rites. But i do love Rincewind and the Luggage. I desperately want a Death of Rats figure!

Well, the Death storyarc is:
Mort
Reaper Man Death gets fired
Soul Music More to do with Death's grand daughter than death himself
Hogfather Christmas wouldn't be christmas without Death in a big red suit.
Basically only Mort and Reaper Man has Death as the central character in any of the books. But he appears in all the disc books to various degrees.
Thief of Time has more of those Auditors doing their usual naughty stuff.

...And the Rincewind series is: The Colour of Magic The Light Fantastic Sourcery Eric Interesting Times The Last Continent
I didn't much care for Equal Rites either, or any of the witch series really, except the vampires one. And I have a death of rats model!

I'm just reading Sourcery at the moment but i'm overly impressed with it. Funny in places but not as good as the others.
Keywolf - where did you get your Death of Rats figure? I bet you've had it ages.

I don't have a death of rats, but I do have two bookends, one with death looking round a corner, and the other with the luggage breaking down a wall.
I thought the witches stories improved as the books went on, including when they diverted into the "childrens" set starting with the Wee Free Men.

Yeah, had it so long I'm afraid I can't remember where I got it, sorry. Have a feeling it was from some odd shop in some seaside village.... And I've got that Death book-end too, probly from the same place. And a tiny Librarian statuette, love that monk..sorry, ape!

Oh yes don't call the librarian the M word! He's an ape. One of my favourite scenes in Sourcery is when he drops down from the ceiling onto the wizards who have come to burn the books. It was such a good description i could see it in my head!

I've jusr finished reading Guard's Guards and so far it's been my favourite! I loved the bit where the brethern are waiting for the supreme master to arrive but there's an extra member in their ranks and they just can't work out whats wrong. I loved the way he wrote the scene!
