Just saw the third Underworld movie, and I really liked it. I went in hoping for a half-decent film and got a great one. It might be my favourite of the three films; this could be due to the medieval setting- I'll take sword-fights over shoot-outs any day- or the fact that the werewolves finally get the spotlight. They look great by the way, some of them 'pure-bloods' that resemble William, and some of them the more familiar Underworld short-snouted lycans.
The story is a fairly straight forward mix of Romeo and Juliet and Spartacus, and anyone who's seen the first one will know it anyway. It's still great to see though, and there were a couple of surprises. The great thing about immortal characters is that you can put them in the prequel even if it's set in the middle ages! So we get the opportunistic Tannis again, and impossibly-deep-voiced Raze. And of course Bill Nighy as Victor, one of the highlights of all three films.
It's not perfect obviously- just a little too much CGI that's mostly ok but occasionally a bit naff, and an unitentionally hilarious sex scene. All in all, if you enjoyed the first two Underworld movies at all, go see this one! If you didn't like them, this one probably won't change your mind on the series.
I'm feeling generous so I'd give it a rare 8/10.

Awesome! I can't wait to see this! I will, however, be waiting to see this, because I like to tell the characters things.

I have a bit of a phobia where crowds and people are concerned, so tend to find going to places like the cinema, pubs, or the town centre on a busy day to be unpleasant. I can cope, its not debilitating or anything, but it would stop me enjoying a film. It's normally ok if I go with someone(s) but as my last friend stopped hanging out with me a few years ago, I'm all alone *sniffle*
So I wait till they come out on DVD and buy them.

Personally, I always hit the very first show of the day. And with my schedule that's usually around lunch on Friday. Around here, a really big blockbuster movie will *maybe* have the theater half-full at that time.

Saw it opening night...loved it! Toss up with Underworld as my favorite of the 3 movies...I won't spoil anything for those of you who have not yet got the chance to see it, but I really enjoyed all the wolfies in it.

Hello to all, I was also in cinema to watch the movie and i can say i loved it! I was with my girlfriend, even she is not into this sort of movies, but she said she wants to see something i like to watch. And guess what? She liked it! She wanted to see the other two movies too. So we watched them and she liked them too. ;D I liked the "pure blood" werewolves look more too.

The only thing I didn't get, is when they "bred" the werewolves, why or even how they had them bit by one of the original wolf monsters, and not bit by Lucian. If that's the case how the heck did they transform back. I loved how they made the werewolves though, although I would've liked it better if they made Lucian look more wolf like instead of monster like. I know in the first movie they didn't look much like werewolves at all, and in the second movie all they showed were the wolves that couldn't transform back. I loved the love story between Lucian and Viktor's daugther, and it was sad because I knew what was coming from seeing the first couple of films. I really would've liked to have seen Lucian save her. But I knew she was going to die, and that's one of the problems with prequels. Still I really enjoyed the storyline, and was cheering on the werewolves. The only other thing I didn't get was....where the heck are the female werewolves, why aren't there any? There had to be at least one when Lucian was born.
