This is really frustrating!!!!!! Who's to say they won't change their minds again and plan it's release for halloween? ?? I wouldn't be too surprised to see it moved yet again - perhaps in to the summer of 2010. Depends how much faith Universal have in it and how their summer slate for 2010 is looking. If it's kinda weak then The Wolfman might fill a gap.

Oh that looked so good! I cannot wait!!!!!!!!!!
But they didn't leave too much to the imagination did they? If you wanted to be surprised you won't be after you've seen the trailer!

It's a slightly different version of the Comic Con 2008 trailer. It looks pretty good...except for the lack of blood and guts that was in the Comic Con version and the cruddy CGI transformation. I mean what's with that cartoon bulging eye? And why on earth did they use CG instead of the Rick Baker practical transformation FX he designed specifically for this film? Jeez!
I have horrible visions of this being cut down by Universal to a PG-13 in the States making it a much tamer beast than the orginal cut shown to test audiences (who mostly really liked it for its quality acting, serious tone AND bloody brutality).

I'd not be surprised if you turn out to be right and they release a trimmed version to get the wider box office take, and then bring out on dvd a special uncut version as well as the normal one.

Yep, that sounds like a money making spin to me. Not sure i would pay to see a cut down version at the pics though... But then since it's the first ww movie in ages i probably would.

I heard all the werewolf scenes are being re-shot so that the were is a quadrapedal instead of bipedal like in the trailer.

Sounds expensive. If true I wonder why they'd do that, as it's a big step away form the original wolfman appearance.

I still think it sounds like there's another wolf that they're changing and not Del Toro's character. Otherwise I don't think they'd be showing so much of the design in the newly released preview.

Perhaps they are chaging the werewolf that bites Talbot?

Or maybe they'll have him evolving over the course of the film into the quadroped at the end, whilst being the wolfman for most of the middle of the film?
